it is a nice place. We probably could have got to America sooner but 6 hours on a place minimum to there is long time with a child - strange seeing that as we stick her in a car and drive the length and bredth of eruope every year- but at leas tlike that we can stop etc.. when ever we want. She really wants to see her cousins though as she has such fun when they were over here

Yeah, kind of hard to stop in a plane! My kids could probably handle it at this point, but I HATE to fly, so if I'm going to fly that far, I'd better be staying a month minimum . . . . . just can't afford it now with me not working . . . oh well!

England is pretty cheap at the mo! Especially hotels etc... the one round the corner form me has weekend room for up to four for £19 a night!!! That is if you want to stay around the corner from me lol!!!

Well, that's not a bad price (don't know what the US $ is doing at the moment) . . . but we are hoping that my husband doesn't have another salary cut or we will be in deep trouble, so we won't be traveling for awhile I'm afraid. As it is, we are okay as long as we cut the spending, so we are willing to postpone travel . . . . glad I did travel so much when I was young.

just having my morning coffee and then getting daughter ready for dance classes.

Had a huge arguement on the phone with the bank - damn unreasonable bank charges! But not getting started on that one again, only just calming down, as they really really wind me up. (Zhivvy takes deep breaths in and out!)

Fingers crossed Janette that you don't have to have another pay cut. And yes, you are lucky to have travelled so much when you were younger. - we've had to do the same as i am only just regularly working again. But application being filled in this afternoon for a job, not getting over excited, but seen the school, met the staff etc... and really want to work there. It is worknig with out of school children again, generally out because of behaviour. It is just what i want to do and is only a mile from home which is a bonus. And regular pay including over the holidays! But not getting hopes up too high as i have done that before only to be disappointed.

Have a good day whatever you are all doing

Yeah Zhivvy, take some deep breathes. I always do that, it really seems to work for stress..

Just having some black tea with orange spice...it's pretty good...probably going to the movies again..or running out to the Farmer's Market. I do love the weekends, gives me the chance to do the things I haveta do, or not want/don't wanta do.

Right now, I'm having a cup of coffee with cinamon-vanilla creamer after putting the second load of laundry in the washer.
Illumination, you've just reminded me..I need to do some laundry..but not with coffee! Maybe...I'll save the laundry for later..and with some wine!! That'll be fun!! wink.gif Except, the towels will suffer a sloppy fold!! Ah..well....a towel is a towel..no matter how it's folded!!

Oh...I ran to the Quickie Mart and bought some peanuts..so...I'm good....smile.gif Now......where's Illum and Rosa?! Wonder where 123 is?! Oh..yeah..she's busy looking for a car!! What kind of wine you got? I have this $8.00 wine ..lol..I bought at the Quickie Mart! I think that's expensive..How much do you pay for wine, just curious. Or..how much should you pay. I mean if you wanna have some good "quality" wine, you must therefore pay..

I love red wine - french mainly but will drink most lol!

The only one i can't drink is from Chile - don't know why but makes me feel really bad even after just one glass!

I normally pay about £5 a bottle (prob about $8) but they have great wine offers on in the supermarkets. The one I'm drinking at the moment is £5.98 a bottle or three bottles for £10!!! What a saving - would be rude to leave it on the shelves!

I do splash out for special occassions - anod pay about £10-£15 a bottle.

I love champagne too, but have found that the jacob's creek or hardy's sparkling chardonnay from Australia is jsut as nice if not better than some champagne and much better price - hey, maybe that is where 123 is - buying the sparkling aussie wines!
