So there is a thread of what people are listening too so thought maybe would be nosey and see what you are watching.

Am about to watch the news and the Question Time - whilst wearing my slippers so that if people on the telly wind me up me slippers won't break it when I throw them!

Zhivvy, etc: TV is a vast waste-land, but I tune in to the news to help keep current when I have time. And once in awhile, I'll see a few scenes from 'The Big Bang Theory' (I've never seen an entire episode). Does 'The Big Bang Theory' air in Europe, too? It's a sitcom. (& once in awhile, I still can't resist portions of old Seinfeld re-runs!)

Recently, I ran across the premiere episode of the most fascinating new 'reality tv' show & I. Could. Not. Turn. It. Off! It was called 'Amish Mafia.' Do Amish people exist in Europe? Or something like them, maybe called something different? There are areas out in the countryside here in the U.S. where they live. I went to a friend's motor-home for a weekend a couple yrs ago here in NY & actually ran across some of them relaxing & talking in a country store. They were also selling homemade pies, etc, outdoors. As a matter of principle & religion, they don't use electricity or drive cars. They drive horse-&-buggy. For them, it's all about being humble & staying close to God. They also look at it like, in general, they shouldn't have things that others don't have because then it separates community, etc. They also dress as people did years ago. (Mennonites are similar but do use electricity.) The tv series is set in Pennsylvania. (The people it's about aren't really like mafia. They are the guys chosen to enforce their community's standards, etc, but there is some intrigue, etc.) They speak English but also speak a dialect called 'Pennsylvania Dutch' based on Old German.

They call the rest of us 'The English.' (We people from 'the outside.') Harrison Ford starred in a movie once called 'Witness' which was set in an Amish community. I really liked it (except for 1 scene where they give the Hollywood treatment to an Amish woman in the story by suddenly turning her into a 'woman of easy virtue,' unrealistically trashing her morality & wisdom since that's what Hollywood does). I just went over to imdb.com to grab the movie description: "A young Amish boy is sole witness to a murder; policeman John Book (Ford) goes into hiding in Amish country to protect him until the trial." So it'll turn out that all I've done is start a convo here about women of easy virtue! Lol. But if anyone knows the answers to my questions here, feel free to answer them, too.

I watched It's Complicated on Film4 last night, funny, if you haven't seen it, it worth it for the laptop scene alone (you'll know it when you see it!).  Then I watched Dara on Dave, I love Dara before bed, so to speak!

Not seen that one yet. Will watch it and watch out for laptop scene too!

And need to put on glasses before reading - thought you had been watching Dora as in the explorer - Dara is much better and so funny

No not Dora lol!! Dara gives me the giggles, he's a funny funny man. You'll like It's Complicated, funny and daft and has you roaring with laughter in places!

What else am I watching at the mo, not much really, there's not that much on, I love property programmes but they're becoming a bit samey now, Charlie Brooker's a laugh sometimes, very acerbic, Graham Norton (I wait for the red chair!) that sorta thing. Just started watching Plebs on ITV. Got Netflix so trying to catch up on films I haven't seen but must admit I tend to go for the feelgood romcoms! They have Friday Night Dinner on there now which I may watch again, it was brill first time round.

I love Graham Norton - he is hilarious - and love the fact he has hot guests (did you see Gerard Butler last week - yum!)

Watched a couple of Plebs but wasn't that impressed.

now there I was eating a bowl of cereal with a Gerard daydream playing out in my mind...I step into a small cafe looking casual-french stylish (me not the cafe) and there is Gerard looking relaxed sipping on a cappuccino (expresso?), he catches my eye as I pass him and flashes me  a natural friendly smile, legs go zingly...then I can't tell you the rest but definitely a naked Friday moment (at least in my head)...it's no wonder I never get any work done!

Ha ha ha - so it is not just me who has those daydreams then - half my life is taken up by them. That is a lie - most of my life is!
