U2ietour SJ2 Red Zone SouthSide (Edge Side)

Yes,the Red Zone area is smaller than last tour; Everyone commented about this: especially the rail/ front/ runway access area. If the RedZone map was correct at ticket purchase time, most would have purchased the GA ticket during the presale- if they could. The positive consolation was that the funds would go to (RED); which is making a positive change in the world.

Many fans said they had seats the SJ1 show to appreciate the light theatrical part of the show. People liked that they could have access to the GA area, but commented that on the GA runway rail area- it would be hard to see the screens above the runway. Also, several worried, if you moved to GA area, you'd loose your spot in RedZone area.

Which happens anywhere usually. I stayed put. (At the encore section, there where GA band people behind us that we had never seen before= initiative&opportunity taken.)

The RedZone bar area was convenient, but hard to get to once concert started- because people were ready to listen & packed in tightly. The area is very close to the first seated rows, which made us wonder if the first 2 rows could see over people's bodies. A couple beside me shared that they sat in the 4th row the 1stSJ night & had a clear view: good to know.

The floor RedZone bathroom access was at the very back right of the GAfloor; which was a plus, I don't enjoy stepmaster in the dark! It is a long walk through bodies if you drank a whole bottle of water, though.

The U2 staff & RedZone staff were polite & kind. Huge

Yes, they did. They were at the very edge of the rail knob on the staff walk way & were told by security & staff spots could not be saved.

Yet, people tried to save their spots... they seemed to be gone for almost an hour! We waited & many people thought they had won the lotto & gone to a VIP viewing area. Still, people tried.

While I was visiting the facilities, a new couple had taken their spot, so when I got back the people beside me said "those two are not moving!" It seemed soon after, the Lucky Ladies came back. Eventhough they lost their spots, they seem euphoric, busy texting/ posting & able to stand in 2nd row; chatting to staff & security. I'd have given up my spot for a tour., too. There is still good views to be had all around.

☺️

Thanks for the info! Sounds like they were just fine with the way it worked out, so that's good.
