Oh man . My first U2 gig, aged 19. You have no idea how messy this was! lol. The olde Croke Park. Ah, so many memories of that trip down from da North! Always love that clip.

My song for today...

Sometimes You Can't Make It on Your Own.

The radio station at work has a segment of "old school" hits from a particular year for nearly an hour. Today was 1997, which featured Daft Punk, Puff Daddy, and Aqua, but Discotheque wasn't included.

Out of protest, today's song is Discotheque.

Today the radio segment was songs that contain "Want"... and "All I Want Is You" wasn't one of them.

So again out of protest, All I Want Is You

Best section ever !!!!  There should be a thread.... " What U2 song are you  using to back up your protest against  stuff that annoys you in your daily life ? "

Lol! It's more a protest when U2 get snubbed, but that'll work too.

The first tv performance by U2, recorded for UK channel 4 tv show ' The Tube', that I recall watching as a young teen - started hooking me in! (They were supporting 'The Police')
