43916 It was announced today it's forbidden to sprinkle or spill water in large parts of the country in order to avoid water shortage.

43, 917 - We might have to do the same if it continues. On our travels today, we went down a road that fords a little stream - but it was almost completely dried up! :(

It must be horrible for our local farmers in this weather.

43, 918 - Early evening counting as it cools down a bit.

Although it's meant to be 30 C tomorrow with possible thunderstorms...

43, 920 - Late afternoon counting.

I had to throw some teenagers out of the library today. They were throwing books around and leaving litter everywhere :(

Luckily none of the books were damaged.

43921 You surely didn't damage the teenagers, I presume. ;)

Throwing books around?  Those are the types of situations where I wish I had magical powers to give them a flat tire (before they start driving) or a stubbed toe if they are walking.  (closer to home)

43, 924 - Night-time counting. Today we mainly had younger children in the library and they were much better behaved than the teens :)

And we re-arranged the shelves to make even *more* space for fiction :D

I meant riding. (bikes)  I chose the wrong verb.

43, 932 - Late-night counting now that I've finished another library book. Sadly it was rather dull :(

Let's hope the one I've just started is more interesting.

43, 913 - Weekend breaks away at U2 concerts are the only holidays I can manage at the moment. Not been abroad since 2002 :(

43 933 You know you can hire Static Caravans (or Holiday Homes as sometimes known) for about £300 per week in off season? That's what I tend to do when either in work or out.

That's why most of my holidays are either March or September :)

43, 935 - Afternoon counting. Trust me to finish a book two hours after renewing it

And I need to get my costume ready for a local convention. Naturally, my sister is on holiday so can't help with the hair dye this time

43, 938 - Woozy night-time counting. I've spent about 8 hours on trains today and my brain still thinks I'm travelling

On the upside, I found a lovely independent music shop with some amazing U2 posters on the walls

43 939   It's really humid with temps rising here but not as bad as Europe is getting.

43, 940 - I saw that report on temperatures in Spain and Portugal... 48 C! :o

Our foreign office and travel companies are warning people not to go there. Or to come home if they're already on holiday. Temperatures like that will kill people :(

And still some people refuse to believe climate change is real. Up in Finland, they're seeing their hottest ever temperatures. Forest fires in the Arctic Circle... it's all very scary.
