fragrant 3 Posted June 16, 2017 (edited) Woot! Who's going to New Orleans?! I LOVE that they're coming back to town. Thank you, U2!!! See you in GA! Edited June 16, 2017 by fragrant

rocketcity 0 Posted June 19, 2017 I saw that the Red Zone seems to be expanded on Edge's side for New Orleans on the Ticketmaster website - is that right? Or is it the same as all the others?
fragrant 3 Posted September 4, 2017 (edited) Hi, @rocketcity. From what I've seen and heard about the other shows, Red Zone does stretch along the tree to nearly its tip. Looking at the TM Superdome map, RZ touches the tip. The only other stadium whose layout looks like that is in Phoenix. We'll see when we get there. My guess is these schematics aren't drawn to scale or for accuracy. Are your tickets in Red Zone? Edited September 4, 2017 by fragrant
fragrant 3 Posted September 4, 2017 @toyoracer It'll be an exciting night for you! Where are your seats?
fragrant 3 Posted September 4, 2017 As of tonight, it looks like plenty of tickets for the show. I gave 4GA a try, and they're still available. I hope it won't bring Bono flashbacks to their Pop Tour stop to the Dome in 1997. Attendance was low, and despite coming back to play Super Bowl in 2002 and premier 'Saints Are Coming' at the Dome reopening in 2006, they haven't played a full concert since. This'll be the first one in 20 years!

fragrant 3 Posted September 4, 2017 Very cool. I'm in GA, too. This week I'll work on finding out about security and Dome GA line procedures.

fragrant 3 Posted September 4, 2017 @mich40 I'm glad that you made it to New Orleans safely, and it makes for a cool U2 Pop story. I wonder, though, did the lemon make it through the tornado? lol. What was it like to see U2 in the Dome with low numbers? I've been in the space two times with large crowds and don't know what it's like otherwise. If Bono's disgusted enough, maybe we could move it over to Tipitina's uptown or 2nd line it to Preservation Hall. I support keeping this thing on the ground and local which would make most sense in NOLA.
fragrant 3 Posted September 4, 2017 @toyoracer Speaking of getting through tough weather to make it to a U2 show, how are you in Houston? I'm sorry that I didn't notice until this morning that Houston your home base. It sounds like you're coming to the show, but looking back at last week, I hope that Harvey's flooding wasn't too hellish and scary for you. It was overwhelming to watch from Baton Rouge, especially with our own flooding last summer. I have friends still not in their homes.

I support keeping this thing on the ground and local which would make most sense in NOLA. I was on the floor, right at the bstage, so I didn't even notice that it wasn't full. And they played their hearts out, as usual. I loved it. It was like night and day between that show and when I saw them a week later in Atlanta. We had gotten news of Michael Hutchence right after the New Orleans show and he was being buried same time as Atlanta. We had seats for that show and it was visibly sad because it was very empty up there. Bono was distraught because of Michael. He cried talking about him and singing One. We cried. That show was emotionally draining. Sorry about the tangent. I do believe that the show will be great. Wish it had been announced with the others, as it is the closest to me but I had already bought tickets for St. Louis. Still trying to figure out if I get there. fragrant 3 Posted September 4, 2017 No apologies for sharing your story. It puts us in the emotional space of that time and appreciate your experience more. I'd think that U2 going back to do this first full concert would reflect on that time in their lives and hearts, too. 'Stuck in a Moment' and memories of Michael Hutchence. Come on through NOLA en route to St. Louis. :)) If you can make it that would be awesome!
sm2112 11 Posted September 6, 2017 Looking forward to this one.. figure I'll buy a GA day of and NOLA doesn't need to be made better but add in U2 and there ya go!!!

It was overwhelming to watch from Baton Rouge, especially with our own flooding last summer. I have friends still not in their homes. Luckily, I was blessed to have minimal damage to my home and no flooding in my neighborhood. I have to say that Saturday night was by far the scariest night because there were tornado warnings every few minutes; a tornado was even spotted less than a mile from my home! I don't know how many times I rn into my inner bathroom for shelter. The rain just never stopped and it was raining so heavy. It was unbelievable. I barely slept during the height of the rain those several days. I would sleep in the daytime because it always get worse at night and it was hard to sleep trying to look up for tornados, down for flood water, at the TV, at the phone, for my cat! Very nerve-wrecking. I'm blessed; I never even lost utilities, but there were many people who weren't so fortunate. I was supposed to go to the Detroit show, but my flight was cancelled twice, so I just decided it was best not to go. Ford Field did honor a refund. I volunteered at a few places taking donations over those days, instead. Edited September 7, 2017 by toyoracer
iinsure 0 Posted September 7, 2017 I have an extra pair GA face value, you will have to take my credit card and be trustworthy to enter, or walk in with me, however; I will not be heading in early as this is my 6th show this tour and to be honest I'm straight up mad that the setlist hasn't changed. That said, I'll be down for this and patriots games, so PM me and reply on here that you have so I get notified and we can work out the details. Love, ME
fragrant 3 Posted September 11, 2017 @toyoracer - You endured a scary and exhausting experience during relentless Harvey. I appreciate your story and it's good to know that you made it through without damage on top of the emotional trauma. I'm sorry you missed Detroit, and it's cool that you were able to get a ticket refund. I'm guessing that all is a go for New Orleans this Thursday!! When do you get into town? iinsure 0 Posted September 13, 2017 So I have 2 extra's GA still, I bought two pairs on two different credit cards, so in theory if you want a pair I would have to give you my credit card and then meet up once I decide to go in and get In back from you. This is funny, because this is exactly what someone did for me at the opener in Vancouver. karma ? Anyway reply to this if you decide to inbox / message me, because I will get notified when you do. Thanks Derek
fragrant 3 Posted September 14, 2017 @iinsure, that takes a lot of U2 trust. Nice how you are paying forward. These are not an easy sell. I have an extra one, too. Good Luck, and see you there!
