Striking out for CT GA

Recommended Posts

getting "no tickets available" message on TM on my phone, and two different browsers. Not even seats. I know this can't be true at 10:09 am.  Anyone else running into this?

Yup! I had seats come up once but I already got those in the pre-sale. Trying for GA.

I am not even getting seats coming up, not even when I put in "best available."  WTH?

Keep trying! Even in the fan pre-sale it was like that, I kept trying and after 1/2 hour got Section 22. Those seats were like $170 each which is overpriced but whatever.....

OK, thanks!  Can't afford seats, hoping for a miracle GA, LOL.  I'm just worried somehow I am "blocked" from TM or something. Have tried clearing cache, using different browser.

Not getting anything either. Mohegan is a tough venue to get seats at for any big name artist.  Feel like they hold way too many tickets for high rollers at the casino

I live close and have seen many shows there. I've been pretty successful getting tickets the night of the event from either scalpers or people with comped seats, and not too over priced either. The only time I struck out was for the Eagles. Not a ticket in sight.

I hoped for the same miracle and was equally successful, i.e., not. :D

Fully agreed.

The "Platinum Tickets" concept needs to die too - every single non-independently-wealthy person should boycott those on general principle every time they are offered. Pretty soon, you would have to be related to (or actually be) Warren Buffett to afford to go to a show...

Completely agree the platinum tickets prices are absolutely insane!

I live about 40 minutes from this venue and would love to see U2 for the first time in my home Stte since 2005... not happening at these prices

Im shocked they are playing Mohegan for one night only   Seems like a big production to bring into this small of a venue for one night

...and I have to admit, being as shocked as I was that they even decided to play at Mohegan after what I thought would be the tour leg finale at MSG, I wonder if they will add any more shows at Mohegan or elsewhere.

It is the day before the 4th of July - I could see U2 wanting to be around and possibly playing a show during/after the Independence Day holiday. They don't start in Europe until the very end of August. Since we were shocked by this show, I now wouldn't be surprised if another show popped up later that week. One can hope anyway...

hmmmmm...I hadn't thought of that....more dates...but where are the GAs to this show going?  I heard maybe one peep about someone with an Experience code getting one, and that's it. My husband gone none with his Innocence code, both of us plus a few friends got nothing today...

I’d be willing to trade Boston GAs for Mohegan but it doesn’t sound like anyone got them lol

Right, and I'd rather trade my GA to Newark to go to Mohegan!

i also was not able to get GAs in the public sale today.  Ended up feeling "lucky" to purchase two singles (seats) two rows apart.  i could stomach $171 but not $325

Definitely consider yourself lucky!  Nothing came up at all here.   Just resale and platinum tickets

Mark 92 -- you know I actually did.  I probably shouldn't have even put it in quotes.  I popped onto the public sale with zero expectations and then was shocked when I was able to snag something.

how much are the general admission seats for Mohegan sun?? the face value? does anyone know?

The list price for GA when they first went on sale was the normal price as it was for other venues (i.e., in the $75 range, give or take $5) - as far as how much one would have to pay now, well, that price would vary and be completely set by the reselling market (read, inflated by quite a bit).

In my and many other people's opinion here, there were very few GAs to be had during the regular on-sale and pre-sale. This isn't out of the ordinary for a place like Mohegan Sun; being a casino, they have a bit more latitude in distributing the tickets as they see fit. So, if they want to almost exclusively treat their high rollers to these tickets, they would be within their rights to do so (tragically).
