What concert are you seeing next?

I'm glad you enjoyed Robbie Krieger.   'Like the waves down on the beach...'

Enjoy Mr. Jones and dance the night away.

Same guy, 35 years later. 😄

He is promoting his new excellent album, “Transform” and honoring the 35th anniversary of “Humans' Lib”.

He was just touring in the UK and will be again later in the year; he is still worth catching.

Tom Bailey usually tours on his own now, but he plays the TT catalogue live. Google him instead... 😉

Off topic but I'd be all over The Thompson Twins touring.  I need to seriously edit my Summerfest shows.  At least five free passes assurances has turned into only two.  One goes to The Head and the Heart and I think the other is going to The National.  I am in love with his voice.  The Strumbellas are the last night.  Quite often, they give free attendance the last evening because it's a Sunday and it's been going for 12 days,  That would make three shows.  Hopefully the donate to food pantries and get in free day has one of the other acts I want to see.  (Young the Giant)   I have to use accessibility platforms for these shows.  I hate it.  12 hour drunks make it impossible to be in the crowd.  Good thing is I'm above people wanting to film the show or being idiots with cells and pulverizing my vision/head with the screens.

The Yes show I saw Wednesday night was absolutely phenomenal! They really varied their setlist, with two massive surprises: they played “The Gates Of Delirium” for the first time in 19 years (and it’s a massive 20+ minute song to boot), and they covered John Lennon’s “Imagine” for the first time ever (Alan White, Yes’ drummer, played drums on the original studio version and also was the drummer for the Plastic Ono band for the “Live Peace In Toronto” concert - he also played drums on George Harrison’s “All Things Must Pass” album).

They played songs I never dreamed they would play. And the light show...my goodness! I’ll see if I can post some photos next.

The colors on many of the backdrops were mind-blowing...

Here is the “Imagine” cover - John Lennon’s head is on the screen.

One more for good measure. This was during “Gates”. This is a show worth seeing if you are a Yes fan.

Mudd 😉

😄 So, I take it the UK is living up to its rainy reputation recently?

Or is “Tiger Feet” going to be blasting out of the speakers?

Or are Puddle of Mudd the headliners?

So many options...

Weathers been rubbish for the last fortnight... just in time for festival season!

Yes, I remember those years in the UK.

I guess it’s a rite of passage to endure seas of mud for festivals in your teens and twenties, though, isn’t it? I hope Peter is having a great time.

Got back from Download today and I'm still just about alive! Wonderful weekend. Finally got to see Slipknot headline on the Saturday who I've been dying to see for ages and they were everything I hoped they'd be and more. Tool headlined the Sunday - it was their first UK show in 12 years and they were truly incredible. (If by pure chance MacFoley happens to read this, thanks for recommending them to me all those years ago!) So many other amazing bands as well. Next up for me is Interpol at the Brighton Dome next Wednesday!

I’m glad you had such a good time! 😎

Tool are a great band. I’m surprised they hadn’t played there for so long.

And, obviously, I approve of your next show! (See below for proof.) I’m seeing them again myself in September. Have a great time!
