I agree.  I was so fortunate to see it at the Apollo, but it has really come alive in the barricage.

The Tulsa performance does not seem to get received well by the audience.  I'm surprised.  I watched it and Wild Horses does not get whatever happens when U2 plays live and lifts off-I can barely hear the audience respond.   Makes sense now why they chose to take it out if they were considering doing it in American leg.. I'm cuckoo to hear and watch it in Europe. I'm also happy and envious you saw it at the Apollo  I forgot about the show today.  ?  I have oh my gosh we might take the pennant fever.  I couldn't sleep much all night and took a nap. Setting one's phone as a reminder of a U2 gig on a different continent is free and valuable insurance.  ?

Pretty loud for a UK audience! I'm not gonna lie, crowds over here aren't always the best.

That was just me being loud.....I was the guy in uni who whispered to his mate at the back of the lecture theatre and the lecturer heard!

they were great. GA was strangely empty for a U2 show. Loads of space. Poor marketing pricing perhaps.

They used the inside the  screen stage much less than I&e too.

roll on Wednesday at the O2

Really? Because from the footage I've seen it looks like they use it way more than they did previously.

I am so not gonna sleep tonight. Or tomorrow night. I'll be the bleary-eyed zombie in the GA line.

the things one could do on that screen with, let's say, Mofo... O_O

Aye. Best show opener ever Mofo... Please was good live too. And Last Night On Earth makes a great companion to Even Better Than The Real Thing

Not tonight. Plenty of Achtung Baby and a lil bit of Zooropa though!

:Bananaphisto:

Well that is something at least! Wish they'd perform Numb or Dirty Day, or Daddy's Gonna Pay...

Couldnt believe how much room we had down there - plenty of space to move up and down the arena floor. Got there as doors open and got a prime central spot, but could have got there an hour later and got the same place.

Superb gig last night, band on top form. Love this show for making an arena show simultaneously epic and intimate.

Have to say I preferred the first leg but great to hear so much from Achtung Baby, and the newer songs held up extremely well.

I can only think that LN deliberately limit GA sales to bump up seat prices hoping that the die hards will pay £2-400 per seat.

sorry but no.

It was really hard to get GA as innocence in the presale, and it irks me as the promoters seem to undersell GA and then overprice the seats. Make all the prices fair and fill the house!

Surely the band would rather play to a full venue than a half empty floor

in the gig I could have walked freely to prime spots at A&B stages at any point.

A much  better gig than the JT gig at horrible vast soulless Twickenham. I will never see a band there again. Great for rugby(esp when Wales Win) but awful for gigs.

choose... ;)

Pardon my tardiness.  My Holy Grail song is Please.  I reckon we only get one choice so I won't add Fez Being Born, Cedars of Lebanon and White as Snow.

I only think they did blackout and lights of home in the screen itself.

let me add "Unknown Caller" to the list... love it, love it, love it... and it's a bit unfortunate it has been ignored... =(

Agreed, another forgotten gem, last seen live, with my own eyes at Croke Park1 2009 - It started to rain - imagine that.

Dont' forget If God will Send his Angels

Oh don't  - that one always gets a lump in my throat,  at the time of release and ever since. Why? Well it just reminds me of the Dunblane massacre in Scotland back then. I think Pop had just been released, and as you do, playing tracks over n over again - then some nut walks into a primary school in a quiet Scottish village and ends the lives of some very young angels. Coincided with me having a young daughter at the time too. Anyhow. I digress again. It's a beautiful song.

As @dmway said at some point I think, This beginning is as epic as ZooTV.

Yes! ZooTV and POPMart (IMHO) had the best openings, but I love this one too! :Bananaphisto:

I went to the Friday show ....my 10th ( I think) ... and I managed to get on the rail at the 'B' stage  - what an awesome place to stand!!!!!

I also managed to get my first ever setlist ( thanks to the wonderful Steven) which is now highly treasured!

It was great to meet others such as Mark, ( aka Paul) , Vince , Vicky and many others!

I will look through my photos and share the best ones when I get the chance !
