Twenty Three Live Anyone predict The Troubles? Or The Crystal Ballroom? Bet you didn't...but here it is, the complete tracklisting for our subscribers-only double CD 'U2 Live Songs of iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE'. A live album of innocence and a live album of experience. It's now mixed, mastered and making its way through the pressing plant. And here's the first selection of previously unseen images from the beautiful photographic collection, that comes with this special release. More details on the way. https://www.u2.com/news/title/twenty-three-live

The reason for discussing this is because we love u2 so much. The point is not that we're not thankful or something. This is about informing subscribers who paid their membership and are promised certain things. So confusing starts and then a forum is a great place to share feelings about this. The gift gor this year is among the best gifts they they've had, so inform subscribers and ship this great item. Money isn't the issue I think.

no it is really ridiculous that U2.com does not give a statement because of the delay. I think it is really time that expresses u2. if you say you send the CD in the spring and we have summer now and still nothing, then something should happen now 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 sommer of waiting

I saw U2 for the first time in October 1989 in Sydney on the love town tour. I was still at school, had just started to drive, and lining up for 3 hours at the Jolimont Centre in Canberra to get tickets also saw me get my first ever parking ticket. In those days (before mobile phones) my sister had no way of telling if I would be successful to get tickets for us, so she went for telephone sales and we ended up with four tickets, two of which we passed onto a friend and her brother. All four of us had a road trip to Sydney and stayed in a hotel near Ultimo (where the Entertainment centre is). It was my first night out in Sydney - the atmosphere was electric – U2 cover bands in pubs (which I couldn't enter because I was underage) – just incredible. Next time I saw U2 was when I was living in the UK with my wife in 2001, and managed to get tickets for Paris, and soon after in Birmingham. For Paris, we made a holiday out of it. Arrived on Bastille day, got absolutely drenched in a downpour, Salvador Dali museum, and so many other great memories. At the concert, we asked some fellow Aussies in front of us to take a pic (35 mm film!). They kept hesitating because another Aussie behind us was photobombing us. They asked him to stop because they didn't want to waste our film and he just said “Nope!”. So our pic at that concert has some bloke behind us with a huge grin on his face (see below). For Birmingham, we drove from Southampton in our “new” second hand car – which decided to stop suddenly on the way. We were just stuck. Again – no mobile phone, no one would stop to help us….we were just stuck (along with an Italian colleague from work – who was not very happy about the situation). Eventually the car started again and we made it to the show while the opening act was still playing. We never figured out what went wrong with the car. In 2005, I was living in NZ and managed to get tickets for the March 17, 2006 show in Auckland for the Vertigo tour. The show sold out so quickly – there was a news story showing people crying because they missed out – so, I considered myself very lucky. My wife and I had been living apart for 15 months while I started a new job and she was due to join me on March 1 2006 - so the concert was going to be our first trip away from Wellington. That was the leg that was postponed due to The Edge’s daughter being sick. We hung onto our tickets ready for the rescheduled shows, and when they were announced we were unable to attend as it was a little more than a week out from the expected arrival of our first child. So, we were able to get a refund on the ticket and of course our disappointment didn’t last long at such an exciting time of our lives. Since then we have never been at a situation that would have allowed us to easily seen the band. So when the Singapore announcements came there was no question that my wife and I would want tickets, and my daughter, whose arrival nearly 13 years ago prevented us seeing the rescheduled show in NZ, will also come along (and of course her younger brother). I used up all my four presale allotments for Nov 30th show, and I will happily be competing for the Dec 1st show in the public sales as I have every other time I have seen the band. If luck is with me, my wife and I will get an extra show. If not, we move on with yet more happy memories and another story to tell. This time my kids’ wide eyed faces will be in the mix and I just can’t wait.

https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/james-henke-rolling-stone-writer-and-rock-and-roll-hall-of-fame-chief-curator-dead-at-65-856396/?fbclid=IwAR3bHxgTDv0qYEHM9IgClTzdLVMWd-2Q8Efn5Wq_PQp8TUNDupavU2d8hA8 RIP to Jim Henke, a major player in the music industry, who had roles at Elektra Records, the Rock & Roll HOF, Rolling Stone magazine, etc. A native Clevelander, he eventually rose to be chief curator at the Rock Hall. He was hugely influential on U2 and Bono’s turn towards social justice. I only had 1 real interaction with him, but I think it shows what kind of guy he was: In February 2003, Cleveland’s Rock & Roll HOF opened a U2 exhibit (“In the Name of Love: Two Decades of U2”) showcasing a ton of previously unseen memorabilia from throughout their history -- much of it donated by the band’s internal historian, drummer Larry Mullen Jr. With me being a U2 nerd, I took my fiance with me to check it out. We arrived early in order to explore the other parts of the Rock Hall, and I discovered some U2 photos (not part of the aforementioned new exhibit) which had been mis-labeled (they mixed up 1997’s Popmart and 2001’s Elevation tours). I happened to run into Henke in the hall as he was scurrying about, prepping for the U2 exhibit opening, and informed him of the mistake. JH: Oh, man. We gotta fix that before the exhibit starts. Me: Yeah. JH: (Calls someone on a walkie to correct the labels.) Thanks for the catch. Me: No problem. Good luck with the opening. (We both start walking away.) JH: Hey. (I turn around.) You seem like a real fan. I assume you’re here for the U2 exhibit? Me: Yes. JH: Do you want a private tour, before we open it to the public? Me: Uhh...yeah! So that’s what he did. He didn’t have to; I was a total stranger and as a Rock Hall bigwig, Henke obviously had far more pressing matters to attend to. But he did, based solely on the love of music and being nice to a fellow fan. There are worse legacies to leave behind.

You can't tell me that over 6 months after it was announced no one who is working on this knows the tracklist. They know. Even if they don't have a guaranted date of when these will begin shipping they surely know the contents. So why not announce that, and just say "shipping is expected to begin shortly" (i.e. during August). At the moment the silence is deafening and no one seems willing to stick their head above the parapet and comment.

I've created this thread so that people looking for tickets have the best chance if obtaining then, without resorting to scalped tickets. Please use this thread to notify other fans of ticket drops. NOT to discuss other issues, such as scalping, how tickets are selling etc. They can be discussed elsewhere. People will then be able to use the FOLLOW option (at the bottom of the page), to be notified when ticket drops occur. Without being bombarded by messages, which will happen if excessive replies are posted here. What is a TICKET DROP? A TICKET DROP is when the official seller releases more tickets, long after the general sale has begun. Why & when do TICKET DROPS occur? TICKET DROPS occur for a couple of reasons. Firstly, they occur in the days leading up to the show, to increase supply, minimising the demand for scalped tickets. Secondly, once the stage is setup, & sightlines are confirmed, additional tickets may be released (some of which may have restricted views).

My comment was not intended to be critical of anyone's opinion or feelings. I've learned to look on the bright side of things or life totally sucks. It's my approach to this as well. I'm also frustrated. I'm using YouTube for my fix until we get the cds. In no way was I trying to diminish anything anyone has written.

...and what a Men’s Final today! Djokovic holds on to beat Federer 7-6, 1-6, 7-6, 4-6, 13-12 (and winning the first-ever 5th-set tiebreak in a Grand Slam Major tournament ever, 7-3). Just a phenomenal match which confirmed that these two are two of the very best in the world in tennis, and the best two on grass courts specifically. AMAZING Final! 🎾

As much as I wanted Rafa to win today, I have to take my hat off to Roger Federer. 37 and no signs of slowing down. Most players have retired at his age and he's into another Wimbledon final. I feel privileged to be able to watch such great players making history. Maybe he's secretly an elf?

A 2019 gift should be completed and ready to ship the first week of January 2019. Now it is closer to the start of 2020 than the start of 2019 and still nothing. Very poor. Also as this is included as part of a paid subscription is is not a gift but rather an item that we bought and paid for in advance.
  28. 2 points
Poor business model to not to at least update the fans who have renewed their subscription for this gift. Frankly it shows a lack respect for the fans who have been so loyal. I get the sense the band is probably unaware or they would have pushed a little. Peace.

My mom has cancer and got her recent blood test results. The counts are way down. The chemo pills were not working but now they are. She's still not sick from them, nor is she losing her hair. She's eighty years old and can do more than I can. I don't think this is going to kill her. I'm not God so I'm still praying. I've been very worried. Many thanks to the powers that be. Great news.

OK - So today i got to go for my first ever pre-sale for the Singapore show. Due to location and circumstance, I had never been in a position to go through this process before, so having been a member of U2.com for years, the Singapore announcement was a dream come true. Having watched from the sidelines for a number of years, i had always thought the moderators did a fanstastic job, and felt a strong sense of community within Zootopia. Today, when things went a bit awry in the presales, I experienced first hand what I have watched for years and I am very grateful. The image below pretty much sums up the roller coaster from this morning and for me two things are very clear: 1. buying tickets for these concerts is in no way a neutral experience, and 2. The moderators annd community are just fantastc. What is also missing from the picture is "thankfullness" to the mods, and to the community who actively participate in helping others. This is literally off the chart.

Just some thoughts about Ticket Pick Ups at 7/11. I wandered into a random one the other day, and talked to the dude working there. You will need the Ticket Order Confirmation e-mail with your ticket number on it (about 15 digits). You can either print it out, before you go, or take your mobile device with it on there. (For example my confirmation e-mail was sent to my i-phone e-mail, so I will take the phone and show them the e-mail.) The staff enters your ticket information into the register and prints out the ticket(s) for you. They might get you to push a 'confirm' button on a screen. They will also give you a receipt to sign. And that's it. Simply say 'Ticket Pick up' and show the e-mail and you'll be fine. Don't forget to smile. The only small confusion I had with my dude at first was he thought I wanted to buy tickets at first. I recommend you take some I.D. with you (just in case) and maybe have the credit card with you...again just in case. Also maybe some small change in case there is a printing fee (maybe 300-400 Yen/ 3 or 4 bucks). Most staff will be able to understand simple English spoken a little slowly and clearly. The ticket confirmation e-mail also includes Japanese instructions for the Staff if they give you a WTF? look. but I don't think there will be any issues. this part of the e-mail: [STANDING FRONT/REAR, SS/S/A SEAT] Tickets must be picked up at a Seven-Eleven store in Japan prior to the show, and will not be issued at the venue. Tickets will be available for pick up from 20th November (Wed) from 10:00am. When picking up your ticket(s), you will be required to show your e-mail purchase confirmation to store staff. Please ensure you print this in advance or are able to access it on your mobile device. After the staff have confirmed the Ticket Number shown in your e-mail purchase, they will print your ticket(s). Make picking up the tickets a priority when you get into Tokyo. Don't leave it to the last minute. Don't lose them, they cannot be re-issued. I hope this is some help, it may be redundant as others may have already posted about it. Keep on Rockin' and Rolling.
