I got the golden ticket through the Sirius XM random drawing!!! I'm still in total shock!!! I must have re-read the email 100 times to make sure it was real. I'm so glad they're opening it up to the fan club too. It's the right thing to do. I'm taking my sister. We've both been going to U2 shows since the Unforgettable Fire tour, but somehow we've never sat together. (She always managed to get better seats than me!) Practicing Angel of Harlem on the guitar, cuz you never know!!! Fingers crossed for everyone in the contest!

i will say that it was a blur. The guys were so friendly and genuine. All four came in. Larry didn’t stick around for mini golf but he was really cordial. Bono ,Edge and Adam all seemed so happy to do this! They were really into the mini golf too! We were with them for about 20 minutes or so right before the show started. All the things we thought we wanted to ask sort of went out the window when they walked in. We were overwhelmed but they are so easy to talk with. It was like hanging out at a party and talking. At one point my wife was talking with Adam to one side and I was telling a story to Bono and Edge and it hit me who I was talking to! I’m not even sure what I was saying at that point but they appeared interested! It was an amazing night. We were treated like gold by people from Omaze, RED, the U2 Crew we met and especially the band. And what a great show! I only took two pics w my phone as I didn’t want to spend the whole night doing that instead of trying to enjoy the moment. U2 had a photographer and video guy there and I will get those pics at some point. My wife got her long dreamed of photo with Bono though! I will post pics soon.

These are the two pics I have. The group shot and then the one I took of my wife and Bono. When I get the ones from the photographer I will post if I’m allowed to. This was so awesome...can’t stop smiling!

Hi everyone, I was caller 10 this morning! I was home listening on the app on my phone. As soon as I heard it started playing, I called. The first time, after about 10 seconds of silence, I hung up. Then the second time silence for a few seconds, then started ringing... Then a woman said - Hi - you are caller number 10! That's when I almost fainted... So for everyone listening on the app, you most definitely can win!! Good luck!!

My first show was also 1985, at the Worcester Centrum. I have attended every tour since then. U2 have ALWAYS been political, and if you don't like that, this is probably not the right band for you. I am not quite sure how you managed to attend 41 shows and not pick up on this. I just got back from the LA show and you are wrong. It was sold out. There is extra space at the Forum on the GA floor for safety, but all tickets were sold. Tickets for tomorrow's show are $500 on stubhub for the floor, only 9 seats left. So you are inaccurate, my friend. You also should probably take note that most Americans disapprove of Trump. Especially in cities like Los Angeles. That does not mean you aren't entitled to your opinion. But, as Bono said tonight, maybe try respecting the opinions of others and "if you can't keep an open heart, keep an open mind." Perhaps most importantly, it was a fantastic show. U2 have still got it.

Yay...I am finally here in Omaha. I made a shirt. I am such a nerd. I may not have guts to wear it tonight. Hopefully there isn’t lightning....

A dream has almost come true....Three years ago when U2 were in New York for their I&E tour, I waited with countless other fans to meet them on July 18, 2015. When Bono came out, he signed my sign and Billie Holiday postcard. I am so shy, but I wrestled up the courage to tell him that I am U2's #1 fan (everyone says that), that I grew up in Harlem, and wished that they'd come perform at the Apollo Theatre. When I met Edge, I also asked him about the Apollo. Today while at work, I received a text from a friend informing me that U2 will perform at the Apollo this June (sponsored by Sirius). I want to be there! I've seen them in different cities, but the Apollo would be my fondest memory, for sure! I grew up not too far from the Apollo, and U2's music has inspired me, given me hope, as well as entertained me. I have to be there!! Romona (aka angelofharlem4u2).

Even though you "politely" pass people who have been waiting for hours, this pretty much makes you a dick.

Since there is so much interest in Mr MacPhisto at the moment, I thought you might like to check out my dedicated MacPhisto fansite if you haven't been there recently or ever. Among other things I've added a brand new transcripts page for the EI Tour, which will obviously be expanded as the tour goes on. (It will take me a little while longer to bring this page up to date with the latest developments. This whole thing has come as a massive surprise - even though I argued that it was the perfect time to bring MacPhisto back, I never thought they would actually do it!!)

Ok - I promise that I didn’t ask Bono to pose for this shot, and further promise that this was taken on an iPhone (and not a recent one). Bono wishes all of MSG and America a Happy 4th of July, so to speak, during “American Soul”:

...and today is a truly blessed day. After months of collective feedback-giving about the formats available to us for the annual gift, we have finally been heard. If you look in your account information, not only is there a download link for mp3s, there is now a download link for WAV files! Those who want to have this collection on CD can now burn one on their own. "The squeaky wheel gets the grease" is the old expression; in this case, it finally came to pass. Sincere thanks to the mods who must have passed on our (numerous) complaints about wanting to have higher-quality downloads - and thanks to the higher-ups for finally acquiescing to a request that, frankly, was always a reasonable one. A very good U2 day!

They don’t call it Hotlanta for nothing. Of my shows I was looking forward to the most on this tour, it was the Atlanta show. My “hometown” show. I’ve seen the band there every time they have played Atlanta since ZooTV. This was my 9th show there and like the others there, it left me with a feeling of complete happiness. I’ve seen the shows from the midsections of The Omni, to the very top of the Georgia Dome, to the GA of Phillips Arena, to the GA in the Georgia Dome, and now to the GA in Infinite Energy Arena, which was by far the smallest arena I have ever seen them in. The fact that it’s been 9 years since they last played Atlanta added to the excitement. The band was on fire and the audience was on fire too. The arena erupted when the words “nothing to stop this from being the best day ever” rang through and Bono appeared in the screen. “The house shakes” could not have been truer words during “The Blackout”. This song has some serious kick live and I love it. As many people know, until Saturday night in Nashville, I had never seen “Gloria” live and it was top of my bucket list. Now I’ve officially seen it twice and I am so happy to be hearing it. It sounds so incredible live. 30 years was worth the wait and I jumped and screamed like I was 30 years younger than I am. One of my favorite parts of the show is the estage set. I love the remix of “Elevation” they are doing and “Vertigo” and “Desire” add that extra kick. Now, let’s talk about Macphisto and “Acrobat”. I watched Bono instead of the screen for this one and what he puts into this character is scary. To watch his facial expressions especially when he says “when you stop believing in me is when I do my best work” is a bit unnerving. Back on ZooTV, Macphisto was a playful devilish guy. The experience version of him is much more menacing. And Acrobat sounds incredible. I wasn’t sure how they were going to pull that song off, but it is amazing. Another highlight of the night was “Pride”. I must admit that I had gotten a bit tired of “Pride” over the past couple of tours; but the way they do it with Adam’s bass cranked up, I have a new found love for it. Hearing it where the song has so much relevance and the crowd singing along as loud as they could, it was quite amazing. I’m growing more and more fond of “American Soul” because it comes alive in the show and I’m quite surprised how much I love it live. It’s such a rocking anthem song live. Another thing that took me by surprise was how “One” got to me and I ended up crying through the whole song and into “Love is Bigger”. Atlanta was an emotional journey for me and I am so happy I’ve had the opportunity to see them as many times as I have there. It is truly my journey from innocence to experience with the band.

for me, Lights of Home is one of those songs that automatically entered the U2 canon and is always a delight to hear it live... like... er... right now.... =P

"Acrobat" is for #U2eiTour what "Exit" was for #U2TheJoshuaTree2017. Do you agree? do you agree?

I went to the Guns n Roses SiriusXM subscriber event at the Apollo last year. The way that worked was that SiriusXM sent out an email saying that on a certain date and time to click the link in the email, and request up to 2 tickets to the show. They were first come first served so they went very quickly, and I think only a portion of the seats in the Apollo were available for the contest. My wife and I didn't get tickets, but we went down to the Apollo on show day very early in the morning in case there were any people who didn't show up hoping we could get in. Eventually we did get in - and we had seats in the lower box just above the stage. It turned out they were seats that Axl Rose had for friends and family (per the Sirius rep) and he ended up giving them to us as we waited outside for so long (17 hours). Everyone at the show got free t-shirts, posters, food, drink, etc. I assume this will be the same process. So don't fret if you can't get tickets through Sirius - Howard Stern will probably give away a pair or two, and you can always do as we did and just take a chance, go down to the Apollo, and maybe you'll get in w better seats than most of the execs or celebs.

One thing I don't quite get is why some people seem to be unhappy about All Because of You being on the setlist. Given what we now know about Bono having almost died a couple of years ago, I find there's something quite resonant about him belting the line "I'm alive, I'm being born, I just arrived, I'm at the door of the place I started out from and I walk back inside".
