A note from the moderators: It has been brought to our attention on several occasions, people trying to impersonate one of the band members or someone associated with the band. Please be aware of a few things: -The only official social media pages for the band are the ones with the authenticity checkmark like this: main social media: https://www.instagram.com/u2/ https://twitter.com/u2 https://www.facebook.com/u2/ https://www.youtube.com/user/U2official/ https://u2.tumblr.com/ -No member of the band currently has personal social media accounts. All communication comes from the official pages listed above. -Any account that claims to be a band member and says “personal account of [Bono, Larry, Edge, Adam or any variation of their name]” most definitely is NOT a member of the band. -At no time will any member of the band, the band’s management, the moderators, or anyone associated with the band ever contact you via private message asking for passwords, personal information, or money for (but not limited to) things such as meet and greets. In the event you should come across someone impersonating the band or someone associated with the band: -First and foremost, report that account to whichever social media platform you have seen it on. This is the biggest part of getting the impersonation stopped. -Please add the information in this thread to make others aware and to use caution. -If you don’t feel comfortable adding information here, send a private message to myself, Max and Bigwave so we can have a look at it. As Zootopia is our primary residence, sometimes you guys are our eyes and ears on the social media platforms. Thanks to all Zootopians and take care.

Waiting on UPS to arrive with my vinyl, I can't help but sit here and feel nostalgic and giddy all at the same time. Hard to believe it's been 10 years now. In some ways, it feels like yesterday and other ways, it feels like forever ago. NLOTH is easily in my top 5 favorite U2 albums. I think favorite albums impact a time in your life and life impacts how much an album affects you, and this album happened at one of those pivotal moments of my life. The spiritual aspects of this album hit me in the heart and became a lifeline for me for several years. Magnificent grabbed me from the first little teaser I got to hear. Still one of my favorite songs and it will always remind me of getting to experience the BBC rooftop gig and getting to hear it live before I even got to hear the whole album. I also think back to a month after its release and driving through Ireland with it on repeat in the car. Even my daughter, who was 7 at the time, says listening to it now reminds her of Ireland. Can't wait to get the clear vinyl and listen and be reabsorbed in it.

I think they still do. If there's one thing I noticed on Songs of Experience that I hadn't felt on Songs of Innocence or No Line On the Horizon, it was just how present the theme of love was. It's a hard feeling to find in much of the world these days, I will admit, but when I listen to that album I feel it fiercely.

The title says it all. Have a great day, Women Of The World (take over... I had to add that after the e&i tour 😉)

Can the Grim Reaper please take some time off? At this rate, it's going to end up like 2016 (Hope I haven't just jinxed things by saying that).

This isn't in the Bible, it's a prayer song from my childhood which has been in my mind.. This is an excerpt from what is known as A prayer to Saint Francis.. Lord make me a channel of your peace Where there is hatred, let me bring love, Where there is offense, let me bring pardon, Where there is discord, let me bring union, Where there is error, let me bring truth, Where there is doubt ,let me bring faith, Where there is despair, let me bring hope, Where there is darkness, let me bring your light.... Amen 🎈🐺🌚🌒🎆

What’s really sad is that to succeed in our societies, great women still have to succeed in the face of misogynistic BS along the way to get there. Im married to a great woman who is a UK/ if not a world leader in her field(surgery) however during her training she was put down by male chauvanists in positions of power who were probably threatened by her ability. She is strong and has proven through her work and achievements that she is actually better than them. She now is one of the UKs leading surgeons in her field and pioneering cancer treatments. She is also responsible for the training programmes of over 100 trainee surgeons, and an amazing mum to boot. a weaker person would not have endured the deep seated BS she had to put up with along the way. but then behind every great woman and beauty..... as Bono sang... is an idiot😆

52 for him. 49 for Keith. Too young, indeed. And a reminder to live life to the fullest.

My clear vinyl arrived today which I ordered from U2.com Delighted it arrived on release day. Unfortunately, the dust sleeve is split twice up the side (normally just once where the LP’s slide in/out). What appears to have happened at production is that the label with the title and the 2 horizontal grey lines were put on incorrectly so to accommodate this the sleeve was cut again. I’m not asking for anything above and beyond - just what I paid for🙄 So so annoying!!!

I love how Larry drives the car through the desert and the hot girl and I wish it were Bukowski instead of Burroughs at the end......The music is extremely cool !!! Of course !! It's actually Bukowski's poetry collection that's called " The Last Night of the Earth" !

A nice U2-oriented site gave me the gift of a lossless version of the Dublin ZooTV show. Now, that is a good thing. 😎

Yes, you’re right - unless there was a special performance of the song not on the e&i tour, but after the JT anniversary tour (e.g., was it played during the “U2 at the BBC” show?). This opportunity to vote on tracks gave me awful flashbacks of the process to choose tracks for U22. I hope to heaven that they have already picked the tracks themselves and that these in the poll are a selection of ones they have already chosen. (I’m still upset at a portion of the U2.com membership who voted for songs we already had lots of great versions of instead of the rarely-performed and new songs which were the obvious choices for such a collection (thus, we ended up on U22 getting yet another version of a song like WOWY instead of only-performed-on-one-tour tracks like “The Return Of The Stingray Guitar” or “Glastonbury” 🙄 - thank goodness The Edge fixed things to a degree with his “Edge’s Picks” CD included with “From The Ground Up”).). Well, here’s hoping for the best mix of songs.
