Waiting on UPS to arrive with my vinyl, I can't help but sit here and feel nostalgic and giddy all at the same time. Hard to believe it's been 10 years now. In some ways, it feels like yesterday and other ways, it feels like forever ago. NLOTH is easily in my top 5 favorite U2 albums. I think favorite albums impact a time in your life and life impacts how much an album affects you, and this album happened at one of those pivotal moments of my life. The spiritual aspects of this album hit me in the heart and became a lifeline for me for several years. Magnificent grabbed me from the first little teaser I got to hear. Still one of my favorite songs and it will always remind me of getting to experience the BBC rooftop gig and getting to hear it live before I even got to hear the whole album. I also think back to a month after its release and driving through Ireland with it on repeat in the car. Even my daughter, who was 7 at the time, says listening to it now reminds her of Ireland. Can't wait to get the clear vinyl and listen and be reabsorbed in it.

I think they still do. If there's one thing I noticed on Songs of Experience that I hadn't felt on Songs of Innocence or No Line On the Horizon, it was just how present the theme of love was. It's a hard feeling to find in much of the world these days, I will admit, but when I listen to that album I feel it fiercely.

This January I have drunk no Alcohol, cycled 500 miles and climbed 7500 metres whilst doing this. Healthy.

This isn't in the Bible, it's a prayer song from my childhood which has been in my mind.. This is an excerpt from what is known as A prayer to Saint Francis.. Lord make me a channel of your peace Where there is hatred, let me bring love, Where there is offense, let me bring pardon, Where there is discord, let me bring union, Where there is error, let me bring truth, Where there is doubt ,let me bring faith, Where there is despair, let me bring hope, Where there is darkness, let me bring your light.... Amen πŸŽˆπŸΊπŸŒšπŸŒ’πŸŽ†

My clear vinyl arrived today which I ordered from U2.com Delighted it arrived on release day. Unfortunately, the dust sleeve is split twice up the side (normally just once where the LP’s slide in/out). What appears to have happened at production is that the label with the title and the 2 horizontal grey lines were put on incorrectly so to accommodate this the sleeve was cut again. I’m not asking for anything above and beyond - just what I paid forπŸ™„ So so annoying!!!

I love how Larry drives the car through the desert and the hot girl and I wish it were Bukowski instead of Burroughs at the end......The music is extremely cool !!! Of course !! It's actually Bukowski's poetry collection that's called " The Last Night of the Earth" !

A nice U2-oriented site gave me the gift of a lossless version of the Dublin ZooTV show. Now, that is a good thing. 😎

Bono, congrats for the speech in Davos. You represent us! Thank you for all your efforts! Ps: Sorry for our dumb and idiot president (he doesn't represent me). He just won the elections because of the fakenews.

I was there that night. When Edge started playing the intro tiny thrill bubbles fizzed up inside me.

Thanks dmway, much appreciated...that's exactly what I was looking for. A theater release would be fantastic, I'd go over and over again. We watch U2 concert dvds quite regularly here at home, as it's the next best thing to being there, and the ultimate 'souvenir' from our favourite concerts from our favourite band. I have a 10 year old daughter and 12 year old son, who have both been with me to the last 3 tours and are both HUGE U2 (and rock 'n roll) fans, breaking all the stereotypes of their generation, with U2 posters on their walls and full knowledge of all things U2, among other bands from Zepplin to Jack White, and on... So, we need those DVDs here at home to continue the enjoyment of our fandom, and their musical 'education'. #nextgenerationfans
