even if they did Discoteque it would be great. it's like they've forgotten how great that album really is. if they did MOFO or LNOE i may just jump the rail... wait I'm on tier 2 and I can't fly

Worked this out for myself just now. Just remembered that I had purchased a t shirt from the u2 shop on Saturday for £23 and that explains the live nation charge on my cc! Must be getting old!

Yeah, seats there will be way closer than all the other Aussie venues (with their monster fields). I'll be down in GA for Suncorp.

Nice one! That's why I made up a seat map for Sydney, just to give people an idea of what category ticket gets you where. Will also be interesting to see what prices will be like, if seats fail to sell. But thankfully that doesn't look like it's going to happen!

most seats in Perth I think have sold. most blocks only have 2-4 seats in them and some a by themselves. edit: having looked again, there are a few seats available but the tickets that cost $198 seem to have pretty much gone. it's the more expensive ones that are available.

Suncorp is an awesome venue as well.

Yes, budget is a bugger! I've blown mine this year now, but hey, has been 10 years right?!!!! I did a seat many years ago in Sydney for Zooropa (god, about 20 years ago!), felt a bit out of it up in the gods - l like the mosh pit! I thought about going to Perth as my sister in law lives there, but quite a bit further to fly. Maybe a second show for there if you are lucky....x

Auck both nights, and both nights Sydney. Saw JT Tour at LA at Rose Bowl in 2017 , both nights doing GA (line up both days - exhausting!). Fantastic concert though and well worth the effort (as was quite a flying trip from NZ and back in 3 days!) Friends thought I was crazy (and my husband, lol!) as went by myself - met some fun people in line though and had a great time. 50 is creeping up now though and RZ looking more attractive each year that passes, despite the price tag!!! You?

Yay! Second shows for both Sydney and NZ. Missed RZ first time around for Sydney so will be in the queue first thing in am for a rail spot with my GA (glad I planned for the worst with that last minute purchase!) Hope second time lucky for RZ for 2nd nite Syd - getting too old and lack my old stamina, lol! RZ for both nights in NZ, all going well! Hope everyine else did ok...

It made me need to finally watch the whole movie. I've seen parts and stopped because it looked really good. I like both Ethan Hawke and Wynona Ryder. 13 is my U2 song of the day. I'm posting this clip because I was at both EI shows in Chicago. For this one-I was by myself and first row by the Edge. It was a dream come true. I almost fainted when he played the guitar solo for Pride to us and looked. I'm surprised I didn't fall to the ground and weep when it was Edge and Bono looking at us and performing. Bono was doing the horns and going at Edge. It was a glorious evening. 13 is still growing on me. I already loved it. .

Many people are predicting (& even hoping for) a similar structure to JT 2017, with an old school opening - JT (full) - hits/mix extended encore. Like you, I'm hoping the second part of the show is more focused on the two recent albums. No time to really incorporate the innocence & experience theme, so just taking in the highlights of the IE/EI tours. Opening that part of the show with the Blackout (or the Love Is All We Have Left intro), to really change the mood after the JT set. Into Lights of Home / Red Flag Day. Possibly including parts of the Zoo Station-The Fly-Horses section, because it was so good. Maybe finishing the main set with Raised By Wolves-UTEOTW as that was also a highlight. Love Is Bigger or The Little Things closing the encore. Oh, & I hope we don't miss out on Acrobat, also a highlight, & the most requested song for the many years of its absence. To do all this the old school opening is going to have to be shortened, or possibly removed. Unlike Europe & the US the show will begin after sunset. This gives the band the option of going straight into Streets & the JT, as the screen will be lit up in all its glory. Others have said they really don't like this idea, as Streets really needs a build up (& is so good with the right segue). Would be a pity to not have that great lead up into Streets, but hey we missed the entire song last tour. I'm kinda interested to see how it would go as an opener again, after so long, & think it may be worth the risk, as it will give IE/EI much more room to breath. If not a JT opening, I hope the old school opening is at least reduced to no more than 3 songs. Sure there's so many cracking tunes in there. But I'd prefer we get a longer second set with the recent songs, none of which have been played in this part of the world.

Happened to me in St Louis on the EI tour. Paid for silver VIP (great seat), but the couple next to me bought their tickets 2 days earlier and paid half the price. Sure, they didn't get the VIP gift book, but still. If I weren't traveling so far for this and didn't have to worry about getting seats together with other people, I would be more willing to just chance it. Guarantee the next time they do a stadium tour in the US, I'm going to wait for dynamic pricing to kick in for all but opening night. It would be nice if they'd offer long-term fan club members lower prices to start. Especially if they haven't toured in a few years. Make it worth paying to keep yourself active during down years.

44964 - I mean, with the croissant situation, those girls kinda deserved that, based on that quote it went a bit beyond just not bothering with the lingo! I work in food service and let's just say, if you're an unpleasant customer, you're gonna get some very passive-aggressive service...I saw a quote from Bono where he says "Don't p*** off the pizza guy. You're gonna depend on him!" Needless to say, next time I book a trip overseas I'm going to download Duolingo!
