  1. The U2 song that saved your life

Good topic. Not so much lifesavers but tge songs which carry the most poignancy for me are: One, Kite, Moment of Surrender amd With or Without You. And Song for Someone is up there too.
  2. Scottish Fans Are Ignored Again

Agree. Glasgow 2 was epic. Better than a Dublin show I went to. I think they would come to Glasgow if they could. Kevin Bridges SSE Hydro residency does not help logistics. Perhaps they will be another European leg to come. Whatever happens, Scotland should feel lucky they come to town during most tours. JT tour was put together v quickly so they were only ever going to play a limited amount of cities then. Band are also older and cannot fit as many dates in as they once would have done.
  3. Scottish Fans Are Ignored Again

More power to you for the self reflection. Totes agree it is cery disappointing re Scotland. But alot to do with Kevin Bridges having a months residence at the SSE Hydro. Perhaps a Scottish date will be announced yet. Or perhaps on another leg.
  4. Scottish Fans Are Ignored Again

That is right and folk were peeved. Guess aside a few. Ities (eg Paris) the 3rd leg of the 360 tour went to different cities in Europe than leg 1.
  5. What Good Thing Happened To You Today (Continued)

Reading the sport headlines today after Ireland beat France un the 6 Nations rugby with the last kick of the game.
  6. Last Glasgow shows were amazing. Better than the Dublin show I went to.
  7. Coming from the U.S.

Take a trip to Dalkey to see the gates of Bono's house
  8. Even more Dublin shows?

Imagine they will end on a rocking Saturday night. Midweek shows dont have the same vibe imo.
  9. Any Irish people going to the Dublin shows? 😉😁. Enjoy it folks when it comes around. Take a trip to Dalkey to see the gates of Bono's house. And visit 3fe coffee place. The pubs are too many to mention!
  10. What's your tour game?

Agree. Better to not know and enjoy it even more. I tend to avoid hearing about the setlist too so I can enjoy the tingles the first notes bring. 😁
  11. Kinda wondering if it could be Glasgow. Fingers crossed.
  12. Different Nights One and Two Again???

I do wonder about Glasgow as there is a gap between Belfast 2 and Dublin 1. And Kevin Bridges finishes up at the Hydro around then (but don't know what else is on). Here's hoping!
  13. Ticket limit and splitting

Glad you got sorted ok. Whole presale experience has been poor for so many. The communication needs to be improved to reduce the copious amounts of questions. No reflection on the mods who have been so patient and helpful to all. To be fair I think it said at first presale that Dublin and Belfast were happening but the dates would be announced later. Irrespective it would be highly unusual if U2 did not play in Dublin so many will have saved codes expecting that. What galls me is not being able to split the code - but that debate is on another thread. Enjoy the shows when they come round. U2 will not be touring forever and the new album sounds great so I am sure it is money well spent.
  14. Anyone still looking for tickets GA is still available. Try Friday first.
  15. How about some Pop on next Tour guys!

    Some Gloria methinks
  16. Agree with that re Flybe. There is also a boat from Belfast to Liverpool if you are stuck. Easyjet may also fly to Liverpool.
  17. U2 Spa day

I think after all these sales are over people need a U2 spa day. Perhaps as a subscription gift to destress from all the tension! First song on the soundtrack....Breathe!! 😁
  18. Beat This Setlist

I would throw Gloria in there. Bit tired of hearing Bullet the Blue Sky so maybe swap it for that.
  19. Scottish Fans Are Ignored Again

I was wondering if one could be slipped in between Belfast and Dublin. Kevin Bridges should be finished by then...or around Madrid in Sept. Looking like no Scottish show. Think it would have been announced before now. Cant see them waiting to end anywhere other than Dublin
  20. All views welcome on this. Better a debate than nothing being said. I agree rules are rules. However my point is it is harsh for those who have been paying for years to end up in the same category as those who signed up yesterday. My post about whether is it time to have or bring back 3 presale tiers refers. That seems fair.
  21. Wrong City!

Completely agree. The JTT in Dublin was great but the boys raise there game for Belfast. Any time I have gone to both shows, Belfast is far better. They have a great connection with Belfast.
  22. I have split European codes for every tour. Back to 360. It was allowed then. Not now.
  23. Wrong City!

Belfast gigs are epic. Much better gigs on the IE tour than Dublin. So perhaps it was meant to be. Enjoy it. 😊
  24. There has been a change. Those who had signed up by a certain date are being retrospectively penalised for a lapse that occurred before a cut off period. Read the boards. Says it all. All the "rules" have changed for this presale. Yes tough love and all that but there are some who have subscribed for years who had a good reason for a small lapse (eg bereavement or illness). I don't think those long term fans should be in the same position as someone who signed up yesterday. If you were struck down with illness and in hospital and your account lapsed, you may feel the same way to be downgraded to an "innocent member". Maybe even allowing folk a month's grace would help. I have some tickets so fine for me but I just feel bad for some who are v disappointed. But that is life.👍🏼
  25. Yet another rip-off!

From the date of Stephen's post, he was referring to the first presale for European shows, not the ones for Ireland etc happening this week. 😊
