  1. Hi JCF-- Thanks for your very helpful info! I really appreciate your taking the time to respond & help. Mike
  2. Looks like Boston is the only (!) US venue to not use credit card entry--so tickets are good old-fashioned hard tix. If anyone's bought Red Zone tix--is that the case for those as well? Are they paper/mailed to you? Or are they will-call day of show only?
  3. Basically, you can use your presale code for new shows for whatever amount of shows (if any) are "left over" from any use for the initially announced shows. So if you bought 4, that's it--no further use for added shows. If you bought 3, you'd be able to buy 1 ticket in an added show, etc.
  4. Just saw on the updated u2.com tour listing info that the presales for ALL added European shows are (or should be!) on different days for RedHill vs. Wires members. BUT--this conflicts with tm.uk, which has the two member groups with presales at the same time. So this looks like a clear error--mods please help!
  5. Bigwave--that's a cryptic post (unless I'm just being dense)--?? Don't see any content?
  6. Just noticed that the 2nd London show TM info says that the presale for BOTH RedHill and Wires starts at the same time (i.e., no difference). This seems unfair to me, especially since many RedHill (not just Wires) folks had problems with the 1st presale (e.g., me, getting shut out of Chicago). Aargh. Now, maybe it's just London--we'll see re added US dates--but hopefully this doesn't happen further. [Later add]--Just saw in another thread that the 2nd Amsterdam show WILL have separate RedHill & Wires presale days. So maybe London #2 is a mistake? Will it be fixed? Mods?
  7. Talked to TM on Saturday. They weren't a ton of help--basically, ended up saying the thing to do is to contact the venue and ask them. That actually makes some sense--so I'd suggest that for anybody in this situation. Maybe also post whatever answer/instructions you get (along with the venue in question) here.
  8. No. There was a huge cock-up with RZ where at many (but not all) venues ANYONE could buy RZ starting last Weds. 9:00 AM EST (e.g., Chicago)--no need for presale codes at all. Obviously, this essentially meant that for many venues there was, in effect, no presale for RZ/other VIP packages at all. For example, I'm RedHill, got on the Chicago presale right on the dot, no RZ luck.
  9. Shockingly, looks like no 2nd show for Dublin/Croke Park (supposedly logistical issues). On the encouraging side, as long as sales are strong, we'll get more US dates, for sure. I'm betting on Chicago, LA, NJ/NY. Maybe Toronto and/or SF too.
  10. Wow. It's shocking to think that, of all venues, they can't add a 2nd show to Croake park. We'll see, but given that they've already added other 2nd dates (e.g., to London), it looks like it could be true, which bites.

    Presale Audit

It's definitely happened before, folks (on prior tours, etc.). You're taking your life (tickets) in your hand if you try to mess with the presale limits, etc.
  12. Wow--that's important. Did you actually try to do that after the I & E public onsale? And was there a "sell" button specifically visible with your tickets? (e.g., by calling up "order details"), or not?. And actually, now that I think of it, I vaguely remember something like this w/I & E too. Hmm.
  13. I have a few cities they all have sell button, but I was told today I can't sell them if they are CC entry, which is against what their website says. I got 4 NY GA's when I wanted Chicago. I ended up with Chicago GA's now i have to get rid of the NY ones. My NY has Sell button, along with Cleveland, Chicago, Pittsburgh Toronto. All GA's. All GA's they say you can sell and you think you can sell and then you can't sell LOL. Are you sure about Cleveland? My Cleveland GAs don't show a "sell" button--?? LATER ADD: Never mind. My Cleveland GAs now show "sell" as well (they didn't originally). Anyone have tix that still don't have "sell" buttons?
  14. Wow. It looks like the London and Croke park shows aren't CCE at all(!). Their TM listings don't say anything about CCE. This is very striking given that all US tickets are, and also that UK/Ireland I & E tour shows were (for GA and RZ).
  15. I wouldn't like it because the camera on your head makes it harder for people behind you to see.
  16. Who knows (since there's no official announcement), but if the I & E tour was any guide, there will be presales for any added shows and folks should be able to use unused presale codes for them.
  17. Hey - maybe I'm misinterpreting but it sounds like your recent good GA experiences were outside the pit... you should really try getting inside. You can be *way* closer to the band, but because of the barrier dividing the outside and inside sections, you'll have plenty of space to step back and chill out if you want to while still being closer than the majority in the stadium. Inside the circle on 360 was the most amazing concert experience I've ever had. I+E was a bit different in that there was no pit section. Looking at the stadium layouts for Joshua Tree though, I think that "stepping back" if you are outside the pit area will mean being way back at the back fo the stadium. Which is okay, and better than sitting, but nothing beats being in the pit :-) It looks like there is no pit (unfortunately) this time (besides RZ), if the venue diagrams are correct (and they are much more detailed now than on the I & E tour). I really, really hope that there is one--it's a way better setup when there is--but I'm not hopeful at this point.
  18. I'm talking about situations where I can't make the show at all. With CCE, I can't sell directly to other fans if I'm not at the show. That's where reselling comes in handy--it's the only way around the "if you're not there, you're screwed" problem.
  19. With different credit cards you should be OK, if past experience is any indication. My wife and I have done this many times. But if it's the same credit card account, you're in danger. Even with different credit cards, though, you're in more danger if you try to use both sets of presale codes for the same show.
  20. Yes, you're in danger, unfortunately. Using the same credit card (in the past) has been the most dangerous thing.
  21. There has never been any kind of lottery system for GA for U2 shows/tours in the past--ever. Doesn't mean there won't be this time, but if the past is any guide, there won't be. It's always been 1st-come 1st-serve. They had an inner circle lottery for US shows on one tour (I think Vertigo?). I hope they never do anything like that in Europe! Oh yeah, right--I'd forgotten about that (I hated it). In any case, though, there's no "inner circle" this time (unfortunately, in my opinion). And I think what the questioner had in mind was more of a Springsteen-type lottery that determines overall line position, not the Vertigo/inner circle-type lottery (which is impossible now anyway).
  22. Hi Guys-- Am thinking about (trying to) buy Dublin tix in the public onsale (or maybe in presale for 2nd show, if possible), but am not sure I would actually be able to go. So--it'd be good to know if Dublin tix are resellable (through TM). Those of you who've bought Dublin presale tix--if you look at "order details" for your order, you may (or may not) see a "sell" button. If you do, your tix will be (after public onsale) resellable, if you need to (can't make it, got better tix, whatever). If you don't, they won't be. Could some kind soul w/Dublin presale tix check this and respond? It'd really put my mind at ease. I'm especially interested to see if Red Zone tix are resellable, since they're so expensive (i.e., I don't want to get stuck with super-expensive tix I can't use, if it comes to that). This info could also help folks who bought presale tix, but then found better public onsale tix (they could buy the latter knowing that they won't be stuck w/their initial tix). Thanks.
  23. Hi Guys-- Am thinking about (trying to) buy NY tix in the public onsale, but am not sure I can actually go. So--it'd be good to know if E. Rutherford tix are resellable (through TM). Those of you who've bought NY presale tix--if you look at "order details" for your order, you may (or may not) see a "sell" button. If you do, your tix will be (after public onsale) resellable, if you need to (can't make it, got better tix, whatever). If you don't, they won't be. Could some kind soul w/NY presale tix check this and respond? It'd really put my mind at ease. 24. Well, from what you say, doesn't sound good. Actually, it's not clear--were the two accounts both in your name? If so, you're clearly over the presale limit. You're also in trouble if it was the same credit card.
