  1. sorry for asking this mods as its off topic but in case all this presales carry-on becomes a big let down is there anybody on here who remembers how much red zone tickets were(preferably in the uk) for the indoor leg of i and e tour? as i have a feeling this is the only way am gonna get tix for this tour...any info on how much they were would be appreciated thanks
  2. i done the same as you mate...i live in glasgow...i disconnected from ticketmaster n.a /..i am now showing red as unverified..am waiting to verify when euro dates are announced..i was scared that if i remain verified i will be sent out a code for n.a which i will not use and it would be of no use to me for europe(again this has not been made clear) If a code sent out to me for n.a is not used and cannot be used for euro dates then you would be up shit creek without a paddle...it is not even clear if euro dates are gonna be organised the same way as the american dates
  3. you can click the link on your account page to disconnect from ticketmaster account and this will unverify you from the current tour dates, you will be unverified(showing red) and you just wait until european dates are announced
  4. i done this but then disconnected my tm na account ...there is a link to do this on your account page. i believe if you verify for this leg of the tour even though you have no intention of going you will then be sent out a presale code which you can only use in north america...this would invalidate you from getting a presale code for european tour when it is announced...I am no expert but i believe through reading various posts and e mails from u2 that you must only verify if you intend to go to anyof the north american shows...europeans must wait...
  5. so would I But surely it makes sense to only verify yourself to the ticketmaster account you intend to use when buying tickets? Initially i thought if i am issued with a code i will still be able to use that code when euro tour dates are announced but it doesnt sound that way even though there is nothing specific in the official e mail they are just asking everyone to sign up to the verification process no matter where they are in the world.. One line in the email stating that verification process is only for tour dates that have been announced so far would have done the trick
  6. it was actually myself that screen grabbed the above e mail mate...I was sent this today by a fella called Ken Wong who runs a u2 facebook page called U2 IS MY LIFE. I had asked him if he hadh ad any clarification on this matter re european fans verifying through us ticket master when they had no intention of going to the us and this is the screengrab that he sent me back..i
  7. this is screen grab of earlier e mail i was talking about...as you can see if you are a european fan you have to wait
  8. i have went in and disconnected my north american ticketmaster account ...I am now unverifed again...to be honest I dont have a clue what is the best thing to do but according to screengrab e mail...european fans have not to verify themselves until euro dates announce...p.s i know i am repeating myself .....i am away for a lie down now
  9. i have seen a screen grab of the email i mentioned ...a fellow called Ken Wong who is on a facebook page U2 IS MY LIFE sent it to me..I had asked him the question bout euro fans verifying themselves on an american tx site....I am gonna be gutted and a bit raging if unclear instructions on the fan website are gonna cost me a presale code for euro shows ..they should have been more specific...so much generalization on the email
  10. ok...somebody has received an e mail from u2.com...they have been told that european fans have to wait to become a verified fan once euro dates are announced. This morning i decided to verify myself using the north american ticketmaster account, as i assumed any code issued i would be able to use for european shows, this now looks like it is not the case ...does this mean that now i have registered for us shows i will receive a code for there but now wont receive a code for european shows ?
  11. daft question coming up. i am subscribed(have been for many years) till jan 2018, i take it i need to subscribe again before that to have access to a presale code.....if i subscribe just now as i was/am about to will this give me access to uk tour dates (i live in glasgow) or do i need to wait to subscribe when uk tour dates are announced which then can be linked to ticketmaster uk account as opposed to what is on profile page just now which is north american ticketmaster and dates.....sorry if how i have worded this is confusing but that is because i am confused...dont want to subscribe just now if it asks me to do so again once uk dates announced
  12. you are not alone...this is something that is a ticketmaster /live nation creation....a lot of bands that are associated with live nation are doing this not just taylor swift...officially it is to reward fans who buy music/merchandise directly from the artists website and also to avoid touts buying up numerous memberships in order to get tickets
  13. this will be the end of my subscription if this is true..it seems to be going down the road of...if you buy xxx copies of our album online or indeed official merchandise it gets you to the front of the pre sale queue ahead of say...an old fogey like myself who has had long term subscription commitment but does`nt really buy anything through official website...it s a sad day if it comes to this(and I think it will) live nation and ticketmaster combining to screw more money out of fans in return you get to the front of the queue for presale concert tickets....this is after , of course , paying a yearly subscription already to said fansite for the very same privilege...it will finally put paid to this long standing urban myth that u2 have a "special relationship" with their fans
