  1. The O2 London, 25/10/15. Stunning show.
  2. Ahhh, new tracks. The Miracle was the first ever U2 song I heard live in the flesh so it's always got a special place for me. Love Is All We Have Left is a track I was kind of sad not to hear live in its original form - it's mesmerising.
  3. 45072 - Grim counting. Flying ants are everywhere. Boris Johnson just got elected as prime minister by 0.1% of the population. Today is not a good day.
  4. Well speak of the Devil! So as I thought, it's just tracks from both of the albums. The sequence is nice as well, mostly representing the running order of the show but with strays here and there. Just a shame Lucifer's Hands didn't make it onto the Innocence disc. And yeah, loving those photos!
  5. 45068 - Scar was a mixed bag. When the film got it right he was properly menacing, but when they got it wrong he was a bit...theatrical/over-dramatic, I thought? Beyonce was very good as Nala though.
  6. 45065 Counting after watching the new Lion King. It was...okay. Not a patch on the original though.
  7. 45060 - Counting after a productive rehearsal!
  8. Not exactly going to a gig tonight. BUT, I'm going to the cinema for a screening of The Cure's 40th anniversary show at Hyde Park last summer, which incidentally I was at! Does that count as going to the same gig twice? Just a shame they didn't film Editors or Interpol (who were both supporting).
  9. 45037 - Getting The Joshua Tree feels again, two years on from Twickenham. Saw Toy Story 4 just now as well, great way to end a wonderful series of movies.
  10. CHVRCHES are a great band. Enjoy!
  11. Been a busy couple of days! Raced against everything on Saturday night to be able to see Bloc Party play Silent Alarm in full (and in reverse!) at the Brighton Centre and it was worth all the effort. Standout show. Also saw Gojira at Brixton Academy last night with Rolo Tomassi supporting and it was brutally brilliant. What band is mad enough to have pyrotechnics at a relatively small indoor venue on the hottest weekend of the year? Gojira, that's who. Me and my brother were stood right at the back and we could still feel the heat from the flames!
  12. Interpol were sublime last night! I almost didn't make it on time because of work, but managed to get there about half an hour before they started, met up with a friend and ended up 3 rows from the front! Incredible gig, and the lightshow was awesome too!
  13. Corey was on it on Saturday night. Given how much punishment his vocal cords must take in one night alone with Slipknot, his scream is way better than it has any right to be after 20 years! It's been two days since I returned home from Download, and the festival withdrawal symptoms are kicking in hard...Still, one week til Interpol!
  14. Well fancy seeing you here! I'm good thanks, just getting on with life as anyone generally does, how about you?
  15. Got back from Download today and I'm still just about alive! Wonderful weekend. Finally got to see Slipknot headline on the Saturday who I've been dying to see for ages and they were everything I hoped they'd be and more. Tool headlined the Sunday - it was their first UK show in 12 years and they were truly incredible. (If by pure chance MacFoley happens to read this, thanks for recommending them to me all those years ago!) So many other amazing bands as well. Next up for me is Interpol at the Brighton Dome next Wednesday!
  16. Tomorrow morning I'll be off to Download Festival up north for a rock & metal weekender!
  17. 44972 - Best of luck to everyone attempting to buy Joshua Tree tour tickets today!
  18. 44971 - Exasperated counting as my country is once again rolling out the red carpet for Trump today. This is the one good thing about all these Brexit shenanigans - for just a little while, you forget who's in the White House across the pond.
  19. 44969 - Getting what I now call The Joshua Tree feels in the wake of the announcement. They're something I've been getting from time to time ever since the 2017 tour but I've only just managed to put a name to them!
  20. Gahhh, I'm usually at work around that time! 😢
  21. I've just realised - live threads are going to be a thing again! Let's see if time zones permit to tune into these ones...
  22. Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds are supporting on all shows. Good choice too, saw him at Twickenham on the 2017 Joshua Tree tour and also twice headlining in his own right!
