  1. 45203 - I'm highly envious of all who got Shadow Man and MacPhisto in the same night.
  2. Hang on...Shadow Man AND MacPhisto in the same night? NOW I'm jealous! Also, amazing to see EBW and LIBTAIIA in there. Good to see Innocence & Experience being partially incorporated into the Joshua Tree shows. Also...just watched the recording of One Tree Hill posted above. That was emotional.
  3. Sad that I'll be at work while the show's happening, but looking forward to coming back here tomorrow evening and reading all the posts!
  4. Also, whatever happened to just showing up on the day of the show? None of this "check in three days before" nonsense. As Canadanne said, on I&E I had no problem simply rocking up at 2pm and joining the line, but on TJT and E&I it was all wristbands, sharpies... That said, I'm gonna go ahead and start the GA line for Mumbai right here, right now. I'm numbers 1-170, everyone else needs to check in at Brighton pier in the UK 15 days before the show. (I'm not actually going)
  5. I've listened to all the downloads. What a brilliant collection of songs that perfectly summarises two of the last three tours. My only gripes are that the running order of the tracks in the show for both CDs is different to the running order in the setlist on the night, and also the exclusion of Lucifer's Hands & Ordinary Love. That said, I loved all the performances, and it was great to notice and remember little details (having followed half these shows via live feeds on the night). Casual observation: the vast majority of Innocence tracks are from US shows, while most of the Experience tracks are from European shows. Now I'm just waiting for that CD book...
  6. All tracks have now been made available to download. Will listen a bit later.
  7. It's made it to news websites now. https://www.stuff.co.nz/entertainment/music/117202408/new-zealand-u2-fans-livid-with-internationals-over-general-admission-system-in-auckland-gone-rogue?cid=facebook.post What started out as a cool fan thing has mutated into a sense of entitlement and a way to game the system. Venues need to grow some balls and draw a line in regards to this. I saw Muse at the O2 in London a couple of months ago. I arrived at the GA line to find a group of fans writing numbers on people's hands as they entered the line. At one point venue staff came and said this was unofficial and therefore they as a venue would not recognise it. A few people got upset but I applauded internally. More venues need to follow that example.
  8. Got an email back within a few hours saying that it should be shipped to my new address. Just need to wait for the UPS tracking number to start working...
  9. Got the email saying it's shipped, but the UPS tracking number doesn't work on the website, and it's being delivered to my previous address even though I emailed the help page asking for it to be updated.
  10. I still haven't received an "It shipped" email. Should I be worried?
  11. Happy belated birthday to, as Zane Lowe once called him, Lazmundo!
  12. So far... 1. Foals - Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost, Part 2 2. Biffy Clyro - Balance, Not Symmetry 3. Slipknot - We Are Not Your Kind 4. Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes - End of Suffering 5. Foals - Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost, Part 1 6. The National - I Am Easy to Find 7. Elbow - Giants of All Sizes 8. Jamie Lenman - Shuffle 9. Tool - Fear Inoculum 10. Frank Turner - No Man's Land That list (and order) may change by the end of the year but all worth checking out!
  13. 45193 Chilly but happy counting. It's really cold outside - sitting here in three layers while I wait for the radiator warm up properly. BUT no deal Brexit has apparently been taken off the table, and now there's an election on 12 December which means we may have the chance to get rid of the Tories good and proper!
  14. Just scored tickets for Foals at the London Olympia in May, with Everything Everything as support! Both fantastic bands, Foals have just released the second of two albums this year under the joint title Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost parts 1 & 2 - both well worth your attention.
  15. *Tinfoil hat intensifies*
  16. 45178 - Just watched El Camino: A Breaking Bad movie and I'm at a loss for words, other than to say that Aaron Paul is the man.
  17. Interesting to move have 2018 Iris rather than 2015 Iris. It's the only track on the Innocence disc that comes from the Experience tour. Still sounds emotive as heck though. The Blackout is SUCH a rollicker. It's interesting to actually be able to properly hear the vocoder going underneath Bono's vocal.
  18. 45172 - First bit of counting from my new flat!
  19. Last night I saw something I don't think I've ever seen in the flesh before - a band playing a gig without their lead singer. I went to Brighton Electric to see local legends Black Peaks. Unfortunately, for the last 4 months singer Will Gardner's been fighting sepsis, and on the morning of the show it flared up again so he's had to go in for an operation, meaning the band played half the set instrumentally and the other half with the lead singer from the support act, Haggard Cat - who put in a respectable effort, to be fair. Despite all the circumstance, the show was epic, watching three incredible musicians completely absorbed in what they're doing is something I'll never ever get tired of. I got to meet and have a chat with the drummer (Liam) and bassist (Dave) of the band too, and they seem like a lovely group of guys! Wishing Will a swift and full recovery.
  20. It's amazing what some powerful billionaires who don't want to lose their tax loopholes can achieve isn't it? (Yeah, that's partly what Brexit is all about) We've had a hat trick of dreadful prime ministers with Cameron and May previously and now Boris is by far the worst I've ever seen. I have hope that things will change soon, because he got absolutely roasted in the Commons the other day.
  21. Nice! Something similar happened yesterday here in Blighty when the Supreme Court ruled that the prime minister's proroguing of parliament was illegal!
  22. Tour designer: "So how big do you want this giant robot to be?" Muse: "Yes" Incredible show from the boys once again last night. Matt Bellamy said midway through the show that this night and the previous one were being filmed for a future release - which explained why a crane camera was flying back & forth right over my head! The songs from Simulation Theory also translated a lot better live than on record - Break It to Me in particular is growing. Also, Nothing But Thieves were spectacular as a support act and, as I've said here before, are absolutely worth your time if you love music.
  23. It's a genuine shame California didn't get played regularly on IE. It's one of the most upbeat tracks on Songs of Innocence and slotted in well in the second half when it did get played. 13...even now, almost 2 years after its release...still makes my eyes water. Also, yeah, nice to finally get an update on delivery!
