  1. Telstra Premiership Finals Series - Important Information St George Illawarra Dragons V Wests Tigers September 25, 7:45pm ANZ Stadium The National Rugby League has instructed Ticketek to temporarily cease all on-line sales for Saturday night's Telstra Premiership Preliminary Final between the St George Illawarra Dragons and the Wests Tigers at ANZ Stadium. Sales through agencies and via telephone will continue. The move is the result of a technical error in the Ticketek system which has failed to protect the exclusive buying status of members that had been scheduled throughout today. Due to the Ticketek error non-members were able to secure tickets this morning. In an effort to protect members purchasing rights, the NRL has made the decision to take the game off-sale immediately while Ticketek attempts to fix this error. Phone and Agency sales are still available because membership passes must be verified at collection. The NRL will advise all fans when on-line sales will resume. "Hopefully Ticketek can resolve this quickly," NRL Chief Operating Officer Mr Graham Annesley said today. "It is important that we do everything we can to protect the rights of club members." Tickets Still Available through Phone and Agency Sales Tickets are still available through Phone and Agency sales. Please note - you will need to have your membership card present for collection of any tickets purchased. 1. ) Phone: To purchase over the phone please call 132 849. 2.) Agency: To purchase at the relevant ticket agency, you will need to present your membership card. To locate your nearest agency, please click here
  2. Got my 4 tickets today and guess what they are split across 2 sections Section 109 Row 26 Seats 45 & 46 and Section 110 Row 26 Seats 47 & 48. So they must be split by a stairway or something. At least hopefully that's all it is.

  4. The single ticket I purchased for my brother using my wife's Ticketek account and Credit Card arrived yesterday, 13th Sep so 10 days from the date of public sale. She commented that she was surprised it was in just a plain white envelope and not what she would have expected for the $19.30 fee. Still waiting on the 4 tickets purchased using my account and CC.
  5. A Split Enz reunion as support act would have been good.
  6. My sister paid $399 a ticket to see George Michael and insisted her husband went with her. Not sure where GM played at or where her seats were in relation to the stage ?
  7. You are a paid subscriber to U2.COM aren't you ? Free members don't get a code or access to the presale.
  8. [quote name='Reid NZ wrote: Nniixx wrote: Reid NZ']Are the presales always like this? I joined up after vertigo in 06 vowing to never miss - I've got all the tickets I wanted for this tour (two auckland shows + brisbane & hoping for brisbane 2 in the public sales) but wtf.. talk about stressful and it seems like i've got off lightly compared to heaps of people. Who knows. Even the Livenation pre-sale seemed 1000 times easier than the U2.COM fan sale. When the public sale started I was back and forth adding and removing tickets of different categories to see what would come up. I couldnlt believe how easy it was to get in and find tickets in the public sale as back in 2006 I couldn't even get in to the website and then camped out for the second show Agreed on the public sales - I purchased some tickets for a friend on the public sale thinking it would be way hard. but does make you wonder. I'm glad for the presales, because it reduced the stress sort of. But for some people its been a nightmare. I have a mate who gets a preferential ticket purchase because they live 5mins from suncorp - turn up at 3pm day before public sales (first show) with about 20 others - thats perfect! Still it all be worth it when we get to the shows! Sure will be. Foxtel had the 360 concert and every U2 video ever released on the weekend recorded both and it was about 6 hours of U2 on Father's day. My boys (11 and 6) are looking forward to it. Will have to pull out the Zoo TV, Popmart, Elevation and Vertigo DVDs over the coming months. Only 97 days to go until Sydney concert 1

  10. [quote name='happyme wrote: powervideo'] I had pretty much the same problem with the sydney show i thought that was going to miss out & have to fight it out on friday but when i went in about th e15mins latter they all droped down & let me in fine have the $229 tix as my daughter wanted to sit looks like should have a good view Where did you get? section 110-1 row 27I'm in 110-1 row 26 for the first show.
  11. [quote name='kings wrote: Nniixx'] Btw everyone it's not just U2 pre-sales. My boys and wife are big Wests Tigers fans with my boys having fan club membership. They got an email on the weekend with a pre-sales code for finals tickets. The pre-sale started at 9.00am yesterday. So.... I logged into Ticketek using the pre-sale code, absolutely terrified of stuffing it up, locking it out etc (thanks U2.com presale for that) and it let me in but then no matter what category I selected would not display the prices or anything, just said no ticket information available. So I started stressing, damn pre-sales, and called my wife to get the boys membership numbers as it said they would be required if I called Ticketek. She found their passes and gave me the numbers, which I noticed were the same as their codes. Doh. Anyway I tried Ticketek website again and now it said that information was un-available for the presale. I left my desk for about 10 minutes and when I returned I hit refresh a few times and suddenly the sales info was back up and I logged in with one of the codes, selected the categories and the prices came up and I proceeded and got Row A of section 35 at the SFS which according to the coloured seating venue map are right on halfway line presumably the first row. When I let my wife know she said that she had heard on the radio that there were problems with the pre-sale and that no one could buy tickets. I must have just got straight in once they were fixed and came up for sale. Don't waste your money the Roosters are going to flog the Tigers I'm a Parra fan so my season is already over.
  12. I work in IT, I should ring up Ticketek Human Resources and say "give me a job". When they ask my qulaifications I could reply "does it matter I'd have to be better than what you've currently got, 'cause they're fu#$%^ !!"
  13. [quote name='SandSCreative wrote: Nniixx'] This is the one that for the NRL match that was available straight away yesterday Begs the question why none of the Aussie venues have been able to do that. The Auckland venue had a proper U2 map straight away too. Maybe it was to deliberately keep people in the dark otherwise people would look at the map and see that some of the more expensive seats might have a strage viewing angle eg the $299 ones are closest, but side on to the stage and were worried that poeple might baulk at buying them. Which is what's happening anyway as there are still some P2 and P3.

I must have just got straight in once they were fixed and came up for sale. It boggles my mind that in 2010 there can be such situations with ticket sales. Back in the day you could fill rooms with hideously expensive computer equipment and still not get the computer power that fits in an iPhone of today, and yet the selling of tickets to a multi multi million dollar event can still be such a disaster. Very perplexing. Shouldn't technology be making things better? And I know no-one has actually asked me to sit and photoshop seating plans so they make a little bit of sense, but seriously, how does that become to hard for the venues to do???? Not that I am whinging .... I'm not even taking part in this presale. It does seem like it has generally had less drama than the last one. So that is good. This is the one that for the NRL match that was available straight away yesterday - coudn't be much clearer

  16. That was 102-1 not 102-2 I reckon 103-1/2. 104-1/2, 105-1/2 and 106-1/2 and their equivalents on the opposite side of the stadium are P1. Then 102-1/2 and opposite side are P2. Good job though, better than the useless one that shows up when you click on view venue.
  17. Good idea. In the first pre-sale I may have accidentally used the same code for 5 tickets even though I had two codes. I rang and spoke to Ticketek, on the day after the purchase, who assured me that it would all be fine. A week later, I sent them an email describing my situation and they replied saying they would investigate and let me know. That was last Thursday and I hadn't heard anything so was getting worried again. Last night when I got home I walked in the door and saw there was a hole in the wall and my eldest boy ran up to me and said "Dad I need to talk to you" and explained the accident that caused the hole in the wall. He then added "Oh by the way someone from Ticketek called for you last Friday about the U2 tickets and said that everything is fine and you don't need to stress about it". The hole in the wall was quickly forgotten.
  18. [quote name='kings wrote: Nniixx wrote: SandSCreative']Thanks Sarhaus for the corrections ... Hate to throw a spanner in the works, but I bought a P3 for my brother at ANZ and it's in Section 605 Row 1 Seat 24. Bummed out that I bought P2 within 2 minutes of the start of the first pre-sale and got 110-1 Row 26 and yet last Friday on the public sale section 107-1 was coming up for P2, must have been changed from P1 maybe ie the back end of the P1 section changed to avoid empty seats ?? The arm of the claw might impede section 107 therefore you could be better of with section 110. That's true didn't think of that.
  19. Just tried Ticketek for first Sydney show 4 x P2 tickets and got section 102-1 row 24 and another 4 x P2 section 102-1 row 23 So another update to your picture.
  20. Just went into Ticketek now and picked 4 x P3 and it said 603-1 row 6. So maybe
