I'm planning to attend the U2 concert in Vegas next May! I'm flying from Oakland and landing in Sin City Friday morning (May 11th). I hope they add a 2nd Saturday night show on Saturday! :D I was thinking of staying at nearby hotels like MGM, Monte Carlo or NY NY. Anyone interested in sharing a room? If interested, please send me a PM. Men, Women, pair of friends, couples are welcomed. All I ask is that you're respectful, follow through, and easy going. I'm a 31 year old male working in the video game industry in the Bay Area. Let's share U2-concert stories! I don't expect to hang out all weekend but I've been to Vegas many times and can help you tour the strip!

    Thanks!

The Excalibur is pretty cheap right now and it’s one of the closests to the venue

  2. With TJT tour over how soon until we get the new tour announced also I’ve been wondering if it will still be called innocence and experience tour and the stage and everything be the same or if it will have a different name with a completely new stage . Would you rather it be an evening with U2 or they have an opener. Also hoping they will announce a date in Salt Lake City which is where I live.

  3. I'm 47, and I've seen them 8 times. I feel like a bit of an underachiever! I can't believe there was a 17-year gap between shows. Sure I had two kids, but I should've found the time and money somehow.

1986 - Conspiracy of Hope, LA

    1987 - Joshua Tree, LA

    1992 - ZooTV, LA

    2011 - 360, Anaheim

My husband surprised me with tickets to see them in Paris for our 25th wedding anniversary in November 2015, but our show was postponed due to the terrorist attacks. Unfortunately I couldn't stay to see it, but at least I have the DVD.

I'm flying to Vancouver in a couple of weeks for the opener, plus I have GA for both Rose Bowl shows. So excited! Can't wait to hear the album from beginning to end. My kids will see U2 for the fourth time in Vancouver. The tradition continues!

That's awesome I was born in 1992 and went to my first show in 2011 but I have GA for LA on May 20th my first time as GA so really excited for it

  4. I'm 31 years old, been to 9 concerts and 1 "festival" performance. Will be going to my 10 and 11 concerts in May to LA.

At the end of the day.....I'm content I got to buy all the U2 albums and rarities I wanted, that I can be in here in Zootopia ....That I'm living in the same day and age as them and that, probably, they'll make one more album........ And If not.....I'm REALLY content they gave me and all of us a LOT of music to enjoy and be uplifted by....Sure, some albums are better than others but that's art, that's human nature.....Nobody's perfect and all that philosophy ......

This is what being a fan is about!

Not how many years you've been a fan. Not whether or not you were a magazine subscriber. Not how many shows you've been to. Not whether you've met the band or not. All of that stuff is just the window dressing. If U2 is your favourite band, then you are a fan. Simple.

There are no diehard fans, real fans, true fans, casual fans, or so-called fans. Just fans.

    Love it man

  6. So saw this in another forum and thought I'd ask it here. I'm a rookie when it comes to shows been a u2 forever but only have seen them live 3 times and in may will be my fourth. So here goes

    First time

    May 24 2011 SLC 360 tour

    2-May 30 2015 LA ie

    3-May 31 2015 LA ie

And my fourth will be this may 20 at the rose bowl!

  7. After all is said and done with this tour could it have been a great plan By the band all along to release the new Songs of Experience following the tour. In the Remastered Deluxe Joshua tree they have Beautifull Ghost/Introduction To Songs of Experience. I was thinking that it. Would be cool if every show ended with them doing Beautiful Ghost or playing over the loud speakers as people leave it would be clever of them. Thoughts?

  8. Hope not, for three reasons.

    1. It's already a "looking back", that would be too much looking back.

    2. MacPhisto is associated with ZooTV and Zooropa, not JT.

    3. I never liked MacPhisto, Mirrorball Man was way cooler! (MacPhisto was sharper satire though)

Hmm very true I had forgotten about mirror ball man.
