This weekend U2 fans will be gathering in Cleveland, Ohio for the U2: Trans- 2013 Fan Conference with some excellent speakers and events taking place on April 26-27.
“The U2 Conference is for exploring the music, work, and influence of U2,” conference creator and director Scott Calhoun said. Calhoun, a professor of English at Cedarville University (OH), created the U2 Conference and held the first meetings in 2009. “We expect an international crowd again,” Calhoun said, “and with the collaboration of the Rock Hall and the fan site @U2, we have been able to really elevate our programming.”
Featured speakers this year include : Steve Averill, Bill Carter, Jim Henke, Brian O’Neal, John Gorman, and U2 tribute band Unforgettable Fire.
We will be following the event over the weekend via twitter and hope everyone who is attending has a great weekend, if you are attending or want to follow some of the action, @U2conference and @atu2 are the folks to follow...
