I'm planning on going to Michigan to see them in June with a girl friend of mine. yeah, road tripping can be fun but I kinda got screwed over last U2 road trip. my "friend" (this is a different friend then the one I'm planning the June show with) was supposed to go with me. I bought the tickets, I booked the hotel, I did everything. Oh, and he said he was gonna drive. I wanted to take the megabus but he said no. I live in Cleveland and we were gonna go to the Chicago shows both nights. We planned on leaving saturday morning. A couple days before we left, I had a bad feeling like something was gonna go wrong. Sure enough, saturday morning he never showed up!! He never answered his phone or anything. I was beyond furious. I was ditched for the weekend. So here I am with a 6 hour car ride up to Chicago, 4 U2 tickets and no one to go with. I panicked. And my car isn't the greatest either! My mother was kind enough to go with me. I basically cried all the way up to Chicago about how someone could ditch me like that. I'm a nice girl and I didn't deserve that! I was so excited to see this show then this happened. Anyways, we left 3 hours later than what I planned, I drove the entire way to Chicago. I missed Bono, Edge and Adam by 10 f**king minutes!! I was beyond pissed. If my "friend" ever wants his friendship back, I'm charging him for me missing Bono, $50 for my troubles.

The weekend actually turned out great. I got to spend time with my Mom and we haven't spent a lot of time together lately. I got to see a girl friend of mine who I haven't seen in 13 years. I had a dream about her 3 weeks before I visited Chicago and I went to tell her on facebook and I saw she lived in Chicago. Is that fate or what? I also got to try Jamba Juice which by the way is the f**king shit!!! I wish we had them in Ohio! I saw U2 twice. I saw a friend of mine who I've known forever and we act like brother and sister when we're around each other. Our dads have been friends a long time. He actually told me the next time this happened to me, to call him and I can stay with him. He's a good friend and I am grateful he went with me night 2 of U2. We ended up getting kinda tipsy at the concert and we had a freaking blast. I got to see a friend of mine from high school do karaoke in a bar in Lincoln Park. I was in shock when I saw her up on the stage. I met some awesome U2 fans (danielle and wendy) and I know I have to e-mail them and say hi. The bar with the karaoke had pornos playing in it after karaoke (freaking hilarious). And last but not least, I went to the Sears Tower and stood out over the edge in the sky boxes, soooo cool. Sorry for my ramble but my mess turned into a wonderful trip. I know Michigan won't be half as crazy as Chicago. I trust the girl I'm traveling with and my friend's mom has offered her place to stay for the night if we need to :-D

I forgot to mention that I got to see Larry come into the venue. I saw his outline in the car, lol. Oh, and when I mentioned this whole big mess to my boyfriend, he couldn't believe it. He felt extremely bad for me and was pissed at the guy friend who was gonna go with me. The guy friend was also having some of his friends come up to and hang out for the weekend. No one showed up. I felt pretty much abandoned. My boyfriend would have come with me but he lives in San Diego. Oh, that was an interesting phone call when I arrived home, lol. Pretty much all of my friends wanna cut the guy's balls off who abandoned me. All I know is that he owes me a couple hundred bucks. Whats sad is I will never see it. He's lost the priviledge to see U2 with me. I also forbid him from meeting the band. I'll just tell the guys next time I meet them not to go over to him b/c he's a dick. Muah ha ha! I'm joking. But seriously, no more concerts with him.

theres always nearby states to go to. roadtrips are fun.
While this is true, U2 have NEVER missed this important state!! Cleveland is the heart of Rock and Roll, plus we have tons of people that live in this state and in the surrounding areas.  How about skipping cities they played already and making the Chicagoans and New Yorkers travel?

I'm sad that Cleveland is being skipped over for the 360 tour. I promise it will sell out if they come here :) ok, I can't promise that but they sell out everywhere. Does anyone know if there's a possibility of a Cleveland show? I'd be so happy
I LOVE your enthusiasm!! Keep hope alive!! Maybe they will come to OHIO! **keepingfingerscrossed**
