Subscriber U2LAWoman Posted November 29, 2009 Subscriber Share Posted November 29, 2009 I thought I'd start a topic on golf. So I can talk about my golfing adventure this weekend with my sis. I do have a set of clubs that I never use and I have visited the driving range. Never actually played a game. I have to say it was really fun .. We only played 9 holes and the best part was getting to drive the golf cart real fast!! I did pretty good for my first time, even better than my sis at times. And that felt really good considering we have had issues with competition and rivalry. We were on the same softball team in 8th grade in Catholic school where she was better than me. It was so humiliating when your younger sister is better than you in sports. So, I was overjoyed and real excited to get the ball further than her! A day I will cherish forever! So.. the whole experience was great, using different clubs for different shots. The hurrying and having to find your ball, and not lose it, like I did. Balls in ponds and such. haha..And the views were spectactular, overlooking the mesa, the Rio Grande, the trains, the birds, and the quiet sound of the leaves falling. Anyone have any advice or experiences they would like to share. Best places to golf? Do you think it's cool to golf?
Subscriber Dominic219 Posted November 30, 2009 Subscriber Share Posted November 30, 2009 I love golf, somedays I walk out of work head to the course where I am a member and might only have time to play 4 or 5 holes but it's great for emptying your head of the days crap. Infact just returned from a night biking epic in the afan forest mudatastic! As damon albarn once said "stereotypes there must be more to life!" I do however know lots of docs who play golf! each to their own to wind down as long as your not harming anyone else it's cool.

As damon albarn once said "stereotypes there must be more to life!" one of 'our' doctors (lungspecialist) died a year ago. at his funeral they played Pink floyd and mentionned it was his favourite band! we were all astonished.... here was a man we worked with day in , day out... and we never saw a pinkfloyd-fan in him... looked like the 'classical music-type' all along... Subscriber doctornickriviera Posted December 2, 2009 Subscriber Share Posted December 2, 2009 No not a pink floyd fan, i think it's all a bit of a druggie band. You need cannabis to appreciate them! No point shouting at the nurses- they'll just make your life harder!! comfortably numb? i prefer the scissor sisters version!
