Janette B']and when they tantrum, we can return them to "all grown up"

maybe in a few years - mine can still try to tantrum - but she fails, as I just laugh and tantrum louder so she loses!!!

wow, i can totally imagine that sight, lol!eek.gif

*please, please don let them have a tantrum in the next... lets see 6 days or so...eyes.gif

Ok we won't but there is no problem of that as Eleanor will be too busy with lena!

thank god for lena then! lol!

Oh yes!!! To be honest though she doesn't do it often and never has. she is a good girl who just tries to push it a bit too far at times (just like her mother - before anyone else says that!)

lol!!! thats a smart move, zhiv! cause it was exactly what i wanted to say! happy.gif

i don have experience with tantrums either... kids almost never had one, i remember this once , when lena was bout 1 year old and didnt wanna eat... she was wearing this thing that prevented her from falling from the high-kids-chair... but it also didnt allow her to get off the table, so she discovered that day! wow!! never seen tears or snottebels (do you know what those are?? couldnt find an english word for it!) that big ever again! so i took a pic and she got even more angry, face all read....

that pic has made us laugh over and over....

I find diffusing by laughing or ignoring is the best. Eleanor is good at walking away and going to her room when she is crying. There was one time she did that but I ignored and carried on watching TV, So she cried louder, so i still ignored. Then I heard her come from her room and stand at the stairs and cry louder - after no reaction then she gave up and made me a picture instead saying sorry!

yep! great tactics! we've always used that too. i see people giving in to the noise and the crying and shouting all the time... cant believe them?!

i never had any trouble letting them do as i wanted. the carbelts for example, i knwo lots of people who's kids refuse to wear them, my friends little son always took them off, and she couldnt keep him in the childs-seat either. even when my kids knew how to unbuckle them, they never did it while we were driving. they just knew we wouldnt accept that.
