Who says I dont love when I always try to snatch you out of the fire

I look at the straw in my own eye before I take out the rafter in yours,

Lips I will kiss who tells me the truth and touches my heart,

Arms I will embrace, who practices honesty and takes its part

Passion I will give to the one who fears thee God of thy love

And it burns it burn ceaselessly

Yet your sin is you keep silent, when you should lay my faults and sins bare with me

if there is no reason for me to be doing wrong, if im not innocent or not misled,

Lips I will kiss who tells me the truth and touches my heart,

Arms I will embrace, who practices honesty and takes its part

Passion I will give to the one who fears thee God of thy love

And it burns it burn ceaselessly

Time and time again, I bare your lies, yet you are with me, have watched me a long time

yet you know its hard for me to lie when I dont wish to,

Lips I will kiss who tells me the truth and touches my heart,

Arms I will embrace, who practices honesty and takes its part

Passion I will give to the one who fears thee God of thy love

And it burns it burn ceaselessly

And you say im cruel, and really cold

but listen love, no im not, but I know who can be

Lips I will kiss who tells me the truth and touches my heart,

Arms I will embrace, who practices honesty and takes its part

Passion I will give to the one who fears thee God of thy love

And it burns it burn ceaselessly

Dont be proud baby, swallow it down, cause when it hit the bottom

it's going to feel so good

going to feel so good

so lovely you humble thing you'd be

Lips I will kiss who tells me the truth and touches my heart,

Arms I will embrace, who practices honesty and takes its part

Passion I will give to the one who fears thee God of thy love

And it burns it burn ceaselessly

She's so sweet and pretty

he's so kind and gritty

he keeps the love going, going strong

she says I dont know if I can take this long

She like's a wine by the beach

while he's there giving his speech

Everythings okay baby

you got my time

Everythings okay baby

we just be fine

He's teaching in the synagogues

She's preaching the crimes

He's loving the generations, in their wisdom

And she's dressed them all up in freedom

Everythings okay baby

you got my time

Everythings okay baby

we just be fine

She's put up with alot

He think's she's hot

He's like a blind guide

She's like a friend's bride

Everythings okay baby

you got my time

Everythings okay baby

we just be fine

He's as cold as ice, with a lover

She's like saving her life all undercover

She's like a secret garden a pleasure to taste up

he's like full of charm, there to drink up

And they say to each other

Everythings okay baby

you got my time

Everythings okay baby

we just be fine

Everythings okay baby

you got my time

Everythings okay baby

we just be fine

Little do they know that

Everythings okay baby

you got my time

Everythings okay baby

we just be fine

Little do they know that

Little do they know that

Little do they know that

Little do they know that

Little do they know that

I love this one from James Joyce :)

Love came to us in time gone by

When one at twilight shyly played

And one in fear was standing nigh -- -

For Love at first is all afraid.

We were grave lovers. Love is past

That had his sweet hours many a one;

Welcome to us now at the last

The ways that we shall go upon.

A Radio With Guts

it was on the 2nd floor on Coronado Street

I used to get drunk

and throw the radio through the window

while it was playing, and, of course,

it would break the glass in the window

and the radio would sit there on the roof

still playing

and I'd tell my woman,

"Ah, what a marvelous radio!"

the next morning I'd take the window

off the hinges

and carry it down the street

to the glass man

who would put in another pane.

I kept throwing that radio through the window

each time I got drunk

and it would sit there on the roof

still playing-

a magic radio

a radio with guts,

and each morning I'd take the window

back to the glass man.

I don't remember how it ended exactly

though I do remember

we finally moved out.

there was a woman downstairs who worked in

the garden in her bathing suit,

she really dug with that trowel

and she put her behind up in the air

and I used to sit in the window

and watch the sun shine all over that thing

while the music played.

Tilt

Like sentinels before a kingdom,

Planted affirm in silent know.

Spiral towers of flowered trellises do forever grow

Branching freely between the winds,

Guarding so strong in silent truth

Behold a peaceful paradise, beheld beyond, beheld within.

Sway freely through day, stand guard into the night

Tilt once again, then make it alright

Sweetest of honey, oh sweet honey

To see you again, before the moonlight.

Stand guard, strong to perfection

So sweet in fragrance, yet bitter before time,

Sweet tastes so silent in temptation,

intoxicating, can defy, oh sweetest of vines

But honey, becomes to honey in truest of time,

Holy is the honey, made sweetest, sweetness is divine.

Sweeten with time, sweeten as wine

Flowering to the winds of creation so fine

Shout like a field of wild locusts, justified in time

So sweetly scent from the sentinel black locusts

Truest in the scents, true sweetness divine.

Sway freely through day, stand guard into the night

Tilt once again, then make it alright

Sweetest of honey, oh sweet honey

To see you again, before the moonlight

Hello, excuse me,

but have I seen you before ?

seen your face around,

but im really not sure,

You see, my husband and I

liked to walk the streets at night

and dance to the whispers

of shadows of the moon light

And your face seems so homely

warm and true,

perhaps we also danced

until the morning dew,

Can you remember me,

or am I just mistaken,

but you bring good memories

that cannot be shaken,

Do you still dance under the stars

and yearn for love,

like good oil upon a scar.

Well if I remember right

I wished, like you to be noticed

under the spotlight

with thoughts of love eternal

forever always burning bright.

Glad this thread got brought back, I'd like to write a poem on an old flame of mine although im not married more like a dove with the just the details of the  underlined above, can anyone help??

So I took each word I responded with to create the short acros poem, and then I added a few additional letters and words which are shown in italic and parenthesis’ and came up with a full poem.

Elevate, crest, travel, cage, grace, mail, tree, rules, discrepancy, groom, choose, sign, excavate, tower, tiredness, friend, mountain, slept

INTO SILENCE

Everlasting love established victoriously at the end,

Creatively restoring endless spiritual truths.

To reveal all values eternally lasting.

Clouds are gathering east, (give way,)

give respect and courteously embrace.

(And

soon, as the) momentum arose in literature,

(the)

truth reveals(ed) (an) endless eternity

(while)

respecting unrushed love, which eventually surrendered(s),

(and

with it,) discretely in spirit came restoration, everlastingly peace awakened, never-ending, (and) consistently yours,

where only

goodness reigns over on mankind.

Concentratively hoping others will obtain splendid eternity

(amongst the)

silently inspirational and gracious(ly) noble,

In

excavate(d )dugout(s) with guarded entranceways,

forever

together onward with entwined rapprochement.

Not

Troubled in repetitive earthly demise; never evade seeking spirit,

and

forever receiv(e)ing insightfully embracing natural dependability.

See the

moonlit oceans under northern tracing arches indicating night,

while

silently leaving the embosoming peaceful temple.
