Wear an over jacket, or an over coat be rockstars. fall/autumn, Winter.

Could the concerts resume this year, maybe with a singer backing bono up for a few months, then take a few months off. I really wanted to see U2 they started the north american leg in June, July, August.

October 2010 won't work in most NA cities. For one thing it can be cold and/or rainy in lots of places - an overcoat would not suffice. Bad time for scheduling that time of the year, NFL football has started and MLB is in the midst of their playoffs/World Series, so the stadiums are booked.

So five months=130 days. One hundred and thirty days to recover and rest or just quit.

It would be such a shame...pity? David Bowie this one movie...such a pity and no pity but thats what this one band has become.

It's not 5 months. Don't forget there's European leg too, kicking off in August ;-)
