Ok, next song:

THE FLY.

a. ZooTV

b. Live From Boston (Elevation Tour)

c. Vertigo in Chicago

I think the Elevation Tour version is great. U2 reinventing their songs at their finest.

oh tough!

i like elevation tour version. its in a higher key for a start, but edge doesnt sing on the chorus which is not so good. but the ending is longer, and edge's solo just oozes sound! larry keeps the drums the same beat mostly through, and bono can be heared more with the song being higher.

zootv original verion is more harder! with the text flashing all over the place. i like the pace of it too!

im going to have to go for................................................

a draw for me!

vertigo version is no way near good enough as the other 2 though!

Bullet The Blue Sky.

a. Rattle & Hum DVD

b. ZooTV

c. Popmart in Mexico

d. Live from Boston (Elevation Tour)

e. Go Home

f. Vertigo in Chicago

My personal favorite is the Go Home version. The Edge's solo is not your typical guitar solo. He showcases his chops w/the right blend of FX. However, ZooTV comes a close 2nd w/his solo and the whole theme.

Vertigo tour featured the worst version of the song. It was too dull and boring.

*listents to all other versions of the song*

Ok, there's something weird I didn't like about R&H version. ZooTV is good, but sounds bit fast forward? Popmart - never really liked that one, but it's still better than Vertigo version, IMHO.

I'll go with Slane Castle version of Bullet the Blue Sky.

Which live version is the best? Beautiful Day from U2 Go Home, hand down best live song ever played.

Umm....as you can see, we are working one song at a time. Right now is Bullet The Blue Sky! There's a method to the madness here.

Besides, we all know Streets is the ultimate live song :P

BAD

a. Live Aid

b. Rattle & Hum DVD

c. Live from Paris (The Joshua Tree Tour)

d. Live from Boston (Elevation Tour)

This one's close, but in the end it's the Rattle & Hum DVD version for me. Which has snippets of Ruby Tuesday and Sympathy For The Devil. Especially when the reverb drums come in on those 2 snippets.

to add my two cents

1) WOWY -- any with love will tear us apart (paris 87)

2) Mysterious Ways -- Chicago hands down for me,

ZOO TV also good

3) The Fly -- Boston (love the intro)\\

U2 3D/Vertigo Chicago close second

4) Bullet - none

5) Bad - Elevation Tour (bad/40/streets all together)

and of course you gotta say Live aid
