Simply because Bono added the Stories for Boys snippet in there....paying homeage to their 1st album. Now if only they could get The Edge's guitar sound, at the start of the U2 360 version, and add the ending, it would be perfect! Milan. That has the big warm up, and the crowd are so much more enthusiastic!

Vertigo in Chicago My favorite one is still the Under a Blood Red Sky version. The first time I saw a musician play 2 instruments in the same song live....and it happens to be The Edge. Apart from that, this is one of the songs that needed to take a break, to give others a chance to breathe live (no pun intended). Oh dear. They're gone. Looks like they all got owned by Slane. Not really a fan of this song. If only they did the Celtic intro for the DVD.

Subscriber MacFoley Posted July 1, 2010 Subscriber Share Posted July 1, 2010 Next song: SUNDAY BLOODY SUNDAY. a. Under A Blood Red Sky b. Rattle & Hum DVD c. Popmart in Mexico d. Live from Boston (Elevation Tour) e. Go Home f. Vertigo in Chicago g. U2 360 h. Live Aid This one's hard! The one in Under A Blood Red Sky is responsible for getting me into U2, in the first place. It's raw, and has that attitude....it's still the best guitar sounding version. It's gotten a little lighter over the years with a change in the guitar sound. However, the Live from Boston version, with Get Up, Stand Up is also my favorite. It shows how Bono can adlib and display a staple of U2's live elements....snippets. I wish they recorded a version with Rock the Casbah. That also sounded great! rattle and hum for me. epic, full of energy, and song i feel they should drop or should have dropped after popmart. Go Home f. Vertigo in Chicago My personal favorite is the Go Home version. The Edge's solo is not your typical guitar solo. He showcases his chops w/the right blend of FX. However, ZooTV comes a close 2nd w/his solo and the whole theme. i love the zootv verion, but popmart i love the funk re-invention of the song too. plus the image on the screen's simply are mindblowing! Live from Paris (The Joshua Tree Tour) d. Live from Boston (Elevation Tour) This one's close, but in the end it's the Rattle & Hum DVD version for me. Which has snippets of Ruby Tuesday and Sympathy For The Devil. Especially when the reverb drums come in on those 2 snippets. phew........finally caught up with you alll........Bad the version from theUnforgettable Fire documentry love the sound....but he video is a bit naff.....it'll have to be Live Aid i still listen to that onealot u2=liveaid=bad, no contest. not just for the way they played it, for the way bono got into the crowd and got involved. and his voice for bad was at its peak. rattle and hum is good also, but bad has to be looooonnnnnnggggggg! the longer the better!
