I'm pretty okay with the fact that the earlier group got the Red Zone tickets, they deserve it out of loyalty to the fan club, paying the fee every year even though U2.com is never really efficient.

I'd be bummed though if there was none allocated for public sale. Think the general public should have an allocation of RZ too.

I guess some fanclub money isn't as good as other people's. We don't get an allocation of all ticket options (ie no RZ) in Cedar. U2 would be the last group I'd ever think would be guilty of discrimination but there it is.
Sorry you didn't get what you wanted but for people like myself who have been loyal paying customers of this site since it began, even through all the quiet times, it is a just reward for hanging in there to get first pick of the ticket bunch.

what a rip off...i needed to buy 2 seats and 2 GAs and had to do it as two separate orders = 2 * $18 handling charge! grr
Ring them up. In some cases they've been refunding duplicate transaction fees when the system prevents you from buying in a single transaction (eg Redzone)

Good luck.

I'm gutted there were no Auckland RZ tickets left for Group 2. Still, glad the RZ tickets went to die hard U2 fans in Group 1 rather than just rich members of the general public. Got my GA tickets and will be lining up early to get near the front. Hopefully won't be too far away from you lucky RZ people. See you there!!!

GA is better than Redzone. You've saved $500 and got a better spot.

You can't gripe too much about not getting Red Zone tickets in the presale. To be fair they didn't have to presale any particular tickets and the majority of people that have already bought them were subscribing to this website since before there was even an Aus/NZ tour announced! Fair play to them.

That being said, anyone scapling tickets (RZ or otherwise) should themselves be scalped.

Although RZ would be cool, I was in pretty cheap seated tix at ANZ Stadium in Brisbane last tour and guess what?

IT WAS STILL AWESOME!

IT WILL BE AWESOME AGAIN!

Can too gripe. But yeah, it will be awesome.

Pre sales are always just a subset of tickets. I'd say with a high degree of confidence that there will be Red Zone tickets released for general sale.

Get someone interstate to get them for you.

If you live in Melbourne and want Melbourne Redzones, get someone in Sydney or brisbane to get them from ticketmaster in person.

If you live in Sydney or Brisbane, get someone in Melbourne to go to Ticketek.

Seriously though, even if you get to the GA lineup late afternoon, there are amazing spots on the floor on offer. Don't beat yourselves up over it.

I think there's talk of a livenation pre sale on Wednesday. i doubt they will have Red Zone or GA tickets as part of it, but you never know.

Congratulations to U2.com, Ticketek, Tickmaster and LiveNation on the most confusing and inefficient pre sales since Vertigo 1.

There are a lot of tickets being sold through Austereo as well. All staff in Melbourne had access to as many as they wanted.

Really Bluehammer? But you'd have to og real early to get a good spot right?

What pre-sales didn't use up, freebies to promoters, radio stations and their groupies who don't even like the band but just want the kudos of saying I've got tickets to U2.

And yes what a mess, poor Bajagirl is probably in hiding or fearing the number of PMs and posts she needs to read.
