My sister got to Frankfurt at 6:15pm. She took this photo during the show.

Inside the circle is not the be all and end all - Redzone tickets are outside the circle on the side.

In the US there were many tales of people joining the lineup at 4 or 5pm (these are first hand accounts) and getting into the Circle.

If you've money to burn then it saves you a bit of effort, you can get to the toilets easily if that's important to you. But one of the best spots IMO to watch the show was from the back of the inner circle or front of the outer circle.

All shows so far except perth are on a weekday. People need to work in the leadup to Christmas. The lineups will be less nuts as a result than for the shows on weekends.

Save your $500 and take it to Star City or Crown roll.gif

I'm gutted there were no Auckland RZ tickets left for Group 2. Still, glad the RZ tickets went to die hard U2 fans in Group 1 rather than just rich members of the general public. Got my GA tickets and will be lining up early to get near the front. Hopefully won't be too far away from you lucky RZ people. See you there!!!

GA is better than Redzone. You've saved $500 and got a better spot.

Really Bluehammer? But you'd have to og real early to get a good spot right?

Yeah GA can get you into the inner circle I believe (if you get there early enough) either that or just push through and tell everyone your mates are in there and you're on your way back from the toilet.

Or dress in a suit and look official.

GnomeGirl']I guess some fanclub money isn't as good as other people's. We don't get an allocation of all ticket options (ie no RZ) in Cedar. U2 would be the last group I'd ever think would be guilty of discrimination but there it is.

Sorry you didn't get what you wanted but for people like myself who have been loyal paying customers of this site since it began, even through all the quiet times, it is a just reward for hanging in there to get first pick of the ticket bunch. And that is fair enough. You guys do deserve the first pick. But it looks like what has happened is that all of the really good stuff in the presale went before Cedar got to play, and now, having just spoken to Ticketek, the public sale is going to start with better tickets than Cedar got offered too. Which does kind of suck. Public sales of these kinds of events are a nightmare, with the Ticketek site usually going on meltdown, but ... "they" really should have kept some of the good stuff for Cedar. We may not have been long term members of the fan club, but we have joined it, that shouldn't put you at a disadvantage over people that have not should it??

bluehammer']Congratulations to U2.com, Ticketek, Tickmaster and LiveNation on the most confusing and inefficient pre sales since Vertigo 1.

There are a lot of tickets being sold through Austereo as well. All staff in Melbourne had access to as many as they wanted.

What pre-sales didn't use up, freebies to promoters, radio stations and their groupies who don't even like the band but just want the kudos of saying I've got tickets to U2.

And yes what a mess, poor Bajagirl is probably in hiding or fearing the number of PMs and posts she needs to read.

Sorry - to clarify the ones available to Austereo staff were through their social club and still had to be paid for.

But when you have companies sponsoring tours it stands to reason that they should have access to tickets. As long as fans CAN get tickets, I have no problem with that at all.

Long time subscribers should have more access to tickets than short term subscribers. Who should have more access to tickets than non-subscribers. Stands to reason.

I've sofar seen U2 in Berlin, Göteborg, Horsens I og II on this tour. All GA - and absolutely GREAT spots. I don't quite understand the fuzz about RZ. My friends who went there weren't too excited about the view. I understand of course the big advantage of not getting in line from pretty early on. But I would definitely go for GA any day (plus it's cheaper).... So to those of you who got GA instead of RZ. Congrats!!

You are right those spots are the 2 I got last year in US and they were great. Got to Houston at 9am and Las Vegas about 3pm...so many people push in as well but I got back fence inner circle Houston and 2 back middle outer fence LV and here are a couple of my photos http://www.flickr.com/photos/52881697@N06

Sponsors should go in corproate boxes or something and not ahead of fans, that's how I feel anyway.

Well last back in 2006 I did hear that the reason the first Sydney show sold out so quick was that it was all pretty much gone to pre-sales and promotors freebies.

Interesting.  It's who you know unfortunately. Highly annoying, but it's always been that way. God, I remember camping out for almost a week to get front row Love Town tickets only to watch the staff reel off ticket after ticket for themselves just before 9 o'clock!  Mind you, I was lucky enough in 92 and 93 to get tickets through Principal Management and the Aussie Promoter. They were much more approachable and friendly back then! All I did was ask nicely :)

I really wanted Red Zone for the first Melbourne show so I wouldn't have to stress but am more than happy with my GA. It's true that wherever you are at a U2 show is a good spot!

Good luck on Friday for everyone still trying to get the ticket they want!

Hey sounds like you were right near me in Vegas - I was 1 back from the outer rail in the middle, near the bride and groom.

There's mine smile.gif

On back rail of the circle for the RoseBowl. Both brilliant spots and better IMO than the Redzone unless you are 5'1" or have a weak bladder.
