On a real roll this week!

Here is a parody of the song Promenade from The Unforgettable Fire: Lemonade!

It's proved to be one of the more challenging ones. But I believe I finally made it work. Let me know if you think it measures up.

I've been asked why I'm doing this...because it's fun, and it's a challenge, and because no one's ever attempted to parody one band's entire discography, much less to one theme. And it's something to do on a break at work or on the bus.

Besides, these practically write themselves. I'm really just a conduit!

You'll find many more U2 parodies at ***SHAMELESS PLUG WARNING***[/font] a site full of U2 lyrics & covers. EVERY U2 SONG SHALL BE PARODIED!!!! TO THE THEME OF FOOD!!!!

Your feedback is appreciated!

Thanks... and enjoy!

Lemonade

Parody of "Promenade"

Thirst, dry, need a drink

I see girls with a sign and

Bend by-laws

With a stall

Jug's not chilled

I'm annoyed

Dirt, flies, sand and...yellow

Buck & 50 cents

Passed on down

The water looks sickly brown

Try not to make a face

Or a gagging sound

And I,

Just an attired dork

Unbowed

Oh man,

"Thanks, girls"

Drinking up so they don't cry

Suburban streets

Ambled here on foot

Misstep

Small talk

That's me trying to save face

Cup inching closer now

Resigned to taste

Oh, help me!

Scary...

What chance it's pee?

I pray with all my might

Try not to make a face

Or a gagging sound

Drink slow

And soon I'm struck down

Sold an ebola-laced,

Small

Lemonade

Lemonade

Lemonade

Lemonade

Lemonade

Lemonade
