The reason I like good bands is because they're not taking the easy way out of making music, and by 'the easy way out', I mean making mindless synth music for a mindless teenage generation. Why do U2 have to venture this way?

And I take it you consider me part of this 'mindless teenage generation'? Wrong. I'm a rock/metal person.

I know what you're saying and if U2 end up releasing something like that, I won't be happy.  I don't that's exactly what U2 is going to do though, but that's what I think of when I hear dance/club music.  And no, Pop was not really a dance/club record, it was still the U2 sound with a twist, IMO.  If they can pull off something similar to that again, that wouldn't be a bad thing.
