I'm sick of this summer, a lot of us are. The whole summer has been one severe thunderstorm after another. We've lost power a few times, once for 2 days. Close to hurricane winds in one storm and lots of damage everywhere back on July 11th. I honestly can't wait for winter. Fall is my favorite time of year. I think another storm is due Sunday. Last week we lost power for 10 hours and thank God the rest of the storms went south or the lower level of our house would've been flooded since the sump pump didn't work with no power and the battery failed. Other then that, eveything's okie dokie...lol How's things by you? Sounds like you're somewhere in the lovely eastern half of the US. We've been lucky out here in the west to have a pretty mild summer so far. So compared to what you have to deal with weather-wise, I have no place to complain. I've been just trying to get through work. Strange things happen at the public library. Thankfully, today was pretty uneventful. The only strange thing was the pile of human poop in the driveway this morning. Apparently, one of the homeless in the area likes to use the library driveway as a toilet...ewwww!! OMG poop in the driveway, God love the homeless, poor souls. You work in a public Library? Cool! Yes, I'm in a Chicago suburb. Hot humid summers and cold snowy winters. I'll take the cold over the humidity any time.

I'll take the cold over the humidity any time. I lived in Houston for a while, and the summers were horrible! I've also lived in northern Idaho, and the winters were pretty cold there. I really hated the ice storms! If I had to choose, I would rather live with the cold than the humidity. Thankfully, I don't get too much of either here in Los Angeles. Oh, and yes, I work in a public library. I really like the work. I'm actually finishing up my master's in library science and plan to work as a librarian hopefully for the Los Angeles Public Library, the system I currently work for. Pure genius on Pete's part, and the movie was pretty cool too.
