  I got the Uber plus the litho from Universal and my box number is 4848.happy.gif

 

Well, if they are in numerical order, they had more than 1000 Ubers then! I wish I could have been patient enough to wait for the litho, just too much risk from UK to States for such a large, heavy, expensive package! Nice to live in Europe, get the litho!

I'm sure I will feel the same about the set once I have it in my hands (tentatively scheduled for delivery on Thursday, but I'm hoping it will turn up tomorrow - I also keep hoping that someone will say that "Slow Dancing" was included as a hidden track on one of the CD and/or that the "Zooropa" CD has been remastered as well, but perhaps neither will prove to be the case).

...and today's the day that the Super Deluxe set has arrived! happy.gif I haven't watched/listened to anything yet, BUT I certainly will over the many days and weeks ahead.

I ordered my Uber on August 9 from Amazon Canada. Was told yesterday the item was now on backorder.

 

I've asked them if they can guarantee that they'll get it for me, but I just keep getting a standard response that doesn't answer my question.

 

What should I do? Can I be confident enough that they will get one for me and send it out?

I would look elsewhere. There's a lot of comments accross the internet that certain Amazon sites can not meet there commitment to customer orders.

 

Amazon UK only allowed ordering of there allocation and no more. Once they were reserved, they put a block on anyone else trying to order.

I received your mail. But could not reply from the U2 web mail, don't know why.

They sent me an e-mail with excuses that they received more pre-orders than expected and still trying to obtain the copy.

Of course I pre-ordered it when the price was the lowest. I believe they just don't want to sell at that price.

I agree with you, it may be better to start a thread on this Amazon.ca issue.
