Mac, I've got a question about the Zoo TV Sydney DVD. At the show, they performed Trying To Throw Your Arms Around The World, but it was cut from the DVD because of Bono giving someone a bottle of wine. Is this included on the Achtung Baby reissue?

 

It's the same DVD as the DVD from live in sydney. Only the dvd face art is different.

I would look elsewhere. There's a lot of comments accross the internet that certain Amazon sites can not meet there commitment to customer orders.

 

Amazon UK only allowed ordering of there allocation and no more. Once they were reserved, they put a block on anyone else trying to order.

 

I ordered mine as well on Aug 9th and got the same answer. They shipped out all the ones that had priority shipping first. They upgraded me bit I am keeping my fingers crossedInteresting....after some email discussion with an ``automated'' help service, the expected delivery date went out to December 15. Today's it's changed to November 7....would this mean they've actually sourced the item? I hope so...i'd be devastated to miss out.

My SD turned up from Amazon UK today, it seems they are now getting more stock through...most likely from Germany. Still waiting for the Uber to arrive from them.

I say this about Amazon UK sourcing these from Germany because there is a German "FSK 12" green label on the front of the box, bottom left hand corner (the sticker is referring to the rating of the included DVD). 

Somewhat annoying though, because it's underneath the shrink wrap. I haven't opened the box set yet. I don't want to end up trashing the box by trying to remove the German FSK 12 sticker. 

Anyone else in the UK had a SD set arrive from Amazon with the German sticker on it? Part of me think's it a nuisance because I don't know how or if it can be easily peeled off...the other part of me think's it pretty cool because of the fact that is IS German!

The funny thing is that I ordered from amazon.co.uk (also saying the discs were from Germany - which is appropriate, if you really think about it) , BUT it has the FBI warning on it, just like the discs I bought when I was still living in the US.

Do all copies of the SD box set have the FBI warning on it?

(Back on topic: my copy of the set didn't have the German FSK sticker on it - sorry!)

Is that the real reason that TTTYAATW was cut from the video/DVD?

you can buy it on line at amazon and the like.  u2.com appears to be teh only place that includes teh dvd in this edition

 

And even then it's only from the UK/European versions of the shop - the US shop has a 2-CD version only. It appears that the UK/European versions have the DVD instead of the 2nd CD.

Apparently it was an underage girl. Some people thought the band were unsatisfied with their performance of that song. But apparently that was all just speculation, Ned O'Hanlon said that the real reason was that the DVD was too long and needed cutting.
