That's funny.

Yeah that was the best thing on itohwell.gif  'From the Sky Down' has been butchered and alot of the important and best bits have been chopped out, unless that's to make us have to buy the DVD only release, I can see it now 'Includes cut/bonus scenes'.  In fact most of the bonus material has been heavily edited compared to the original versions which is a shame.  Overall Achtung Baby whilst one of my favourite albums is my least favourite remaster, a whole lot of nothing new really, a couple of great new songs and a brilliant demo disc, the rest is an incomplete shambles 4/10.

It seems like too much has been put into making look nice rather than the sounds they made.

 

Oh Berlin is brilliant!

 

She's gonna blow your house down- great achtung music but bono of 2011 vocals, makes it into a vertigo hit, elevation style or boots stomper....but it's still good...

 

Heaven and hell.....too many lyrics bono. Would bono from 1989/90 put so many words in? Listen to the hansa boots, both blow your house down and heaven and hell I think are better. And what the fuck are the dooo wooooops about? Horrid U2 moment.....

 

Down all the days.... I prefer numb,,,,,now we have an Irish sing a long song over numb....

 

 

Everybody loves a winner, have to listen again, can't remember it that well......

 

That's my view on these new songs.....

The remix CDs..... Good to have the tracks revamped. But any need for 2 discs? Imagine if the other disc was the hansa tapes revamped. The original ideas. Plenty of them I posted in my rare U2 songs thread.

 

The DVDs.....from the sky down, cut sceens and the quality is worse from when it was shown on tv. Shame.

 

The bonus DVD is amazing. The videos disc is good but no until the end of the world vid.

 

Sydney???

 

That leaves the original albums. Fantastic!!!

 

So what have we paid the money for???

 

The glasses? The magnets? The book? The art prints? The 7 inches? It does look pretty no doubt about that...

 

7.5 out of 10 for me. As a package.

 

Achtung and zooropa are 10 out of 10 albums anyhow. They and the bonus DVD and the baby cd save the day...

Yes, all copies of the SD I've seen (I have two here at the moment - the one I bought from HMV's web shop and the one I bought from Amazon UK) both have the FBI warning on the back. In both cases it's part of the box, not a sticker.

I think most if not all Universal CDs are pressed in Germany for the UK/EU market.

I opened the Amazon SD yesterday afternoon and peeled off the German FSK 12 sticker. It came off easily enough. 

I did think about keeping it on there but it was in the way of the artwork!

U2 has released a single to help support this week's 20th anniversary release of Achtung Baby. "Blow Your House Down," a track that appears on the 2CD, Super Deluxe and Uber Deluxe versions of Achtung Baby, was sent to North American radio stations as a digital download last week. We don't know the exact date, but a source in radio tells us it was before Halloween. The song is already getting some airplay on Classic Rock and Triple-A (Adult Album Alternative) stations, too.

 

Releasing a single isn't a huge surprise, but the choice of "Blow Your House Down" is. Bono had previously mentioned that he was pushing to get "Even Better Than The Real Thing (Fish Out Of Water Remix)" released as the single supporting Achtung Baby.
