If they remaster POP and decide to do a few mixes like they did with ebttrt 'fish out of water' mix then we might get a spunked up mofo, surely everyone loves a spunky mofo ;)

I HATE the redone POP songs on the Best of 1990-2000. They were unecessary. The single versions are fine. But the deliberate reduxes are/were unecessary.

The albums fine, not suggesting it isn't, I'm not a fan of remixes, but after what they did with ebttrt I think why not!. It's possible with POP to get great mix, maybe not mofo but another track.

I think the Discotheque remix is Magnificent..can't get enough of Edge's Powerful guitar and Larry's clear drum sound...Gone is very good..but The Edge didn't follow Bono's verse at the end "I'll be up with the sun...." with the same unbelievable guitar riff as he did through the original.  And Staring at The Sun, very Good but I wanted more guitar on it, in terms of guitar the original beats it hands down although the remix has a Bono in better vocal shape.....

I do consider myself lucky to have seen the 360 tour early on and got to hear NLOTH songs. A friend came along with us in 2011 and I kinda felt bad because I'm sure he was expecting to hear the new stuff. It was his first U2 concert but he enjoyed it anyway.

I still can't get enough of NLOTH. I really love it. I wish U2 did also!

Pop was very popular - just not in the USA. Fact is it got to No 1 in 35 countries around the world in it's week of release, all of it's singles were in the top 10 apart from If God Will Send His Angels... (no 14)

Nloth by comparison is a complete failure - nothing on the album that stands out, all the singles failed and quite frankly it doesn't deserve 5 million copies sold as the music was terrible & the lyrics meaningless.

5 million copies sold needs to be divided by the number of different formats, then factor out the number of U2 fans that bought all versions and divide by 4 for number of members in U2 and you get the the real answer of only 7 copies soldlaugh.gif

Pop is an album that I thought was "ok" in 1997, but I really love now. I find it has really improved with age. ATYCLB is an album that I thought was great at the time, and now I don't even listen to it any more. I'm starting to find NLOTH is following ATYCLB.
