I woke up with this song stuck in my head.

Happy birthday Eric "Slowhand" Patrick Clapton!! http://www.ericclapton.com/?frontpage=true         Tell the truth. Tell me who's been fooling you?Tell

I see one-third of a nation ill-housed, ill-clad, ill-nourished. Franklin D. Roosevelt (1882-1945), U.S. Democratic politician, president. second inaugural addresss, Jan. 20, 1937. Public Papers

love and war: Albert Einstein

But hero's on command,

senseless violence

and all the loathsome nonsense

that goes by the name of patriotism

how passionately I hate them

perfection of means

and confusion of ends

seems to characterize our age

and it has become appallingly obvious

that our technology

has exceeded our humanity

that technological progress

is like a axe  in the hands of a pathological criminal

and the attempt to combine wisdom and power

has rarely been successful

and then, only for a short while

It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war

is nothing but an act of murder

I do not know what weapons ww3

will be fought with, but ww4 will be fought with sticks and stones

"oh, how I wish that somehow

there existed an island for those who

are wise and of good wile

In such a place even I

I would be an ardent patriot

for I am not only a pacifist

but a militant pacifist

I am willing to fight for peace

for nothing will end war

Our tasks must be free of ourselves

by widening our circle of compassion

to embrace all living creatures

and the whole of nature and it's beauty

and peace cannot be kept by force

It can only be achieved by understanding.

" If I were not a physicist- I would probably be a musician. I often think in music.

I live my day dream in music. I see my life in terms of music".

Albert Einstein

nice poem tim.. :) better than mine

you got to

I know just how it feels
to climb a mountain
only to fall back down;
there’s no will to try again
once you’ve hit the ground

But you’ve got to
You’ve got to move,
And I’ll be there
Be right there to help you

I know just how it feels
to spread your wings
only to never fly;
there’s no desire
to give it another try

But you’ve got to
You’ve got to fly,
And I’ll be there
Be right there to fly with you

I know just how it feels
to put one foot in front of the other
only to stumble before you fall;
there’s no strength left
to give it your all

But you’ve got to
You’ve got to walk,
And I’ll be there
Be right there to break your fall

I know just how it feels
to face the world alone
only to realize you were wrong;
there’s a friend there
to help you along

I’ll always be there to help you along

The gold of a good girls heart

The ocean's wind cover's your lips again

an ocean's wind crash's waves in

blows the hair aside a pretty girls face

they have no limits to the borders within

when they reach these shores- it's freedom !

blown by the freedom of the wind

Ocean currents and their vast circuits

take my dreams away

to a place where freedom lives

to a place where freedom gives

to a place where dreams can stay

They set no course on their journey

or know where their travel's might lead

blown by the wind in a bottle

holding on to the same lover's dream

hold on to your dreams of tomorrow, cuz

you never know what tomorrow might bring

green, and blue, the ocean's blew

one near and dear to my heart

a beautiful lover, with a beautiful dream

half a world a part

red, white, and, blue, if her dreams come true

her true lover from the start

I still sail these rolling waters, (for the gold of a good girls heart)

I ride these ocean's as they toss and swirl

to kiss her just as well

thanks paol, was looking at these poems on a site and come across this sweet short one, so simple but nice

thinking of you

I always think of you,
in my sleep,
in my dreams,
I always think of you,
all night all day, hoping you're alright,
I always think of you,
wishing that you were thinking of me too,
every minute, every second of the day, I think of you,
I really do,

all because

I love you

i would like to remind this:

"Mother"

Mother, You had Me I never had you
I wanted you but you didn't want me
So I got to tell you
Goodbye, Goodbye

Father, You left me but I never left you
I needed you but you didn't need me
So I just got to tell you
Goodbye, Goodbye

Children, Don't do what I have done
I couldn't walk so I tried to run
So I got to tell you
Goodbye, Goodbye

Mother come back
Daddy come home

To Put It Simply, I Want You by Iloveit I want to be your companion

and walk hand in hand,

your strength enveloping mine.

Autumn leaves falling,

scuffing feet and laughter,

sharing nights, not finished by the dark.

I want to be your confidant

as you pen your deepest

thoughts, as your heartaches

bleed and finally break free.

Your dreams, I keep as if my own.

I want to smile as you smile

and giggle with you

at nothing at all.

I want to be your lover

and find the passions

that move you to action.

I want to be the softness

that induces you to trust.

I want to be the naughty

that makes you come back for more.

I want to please you.

I want to share your breakfast

and your dinner,

I want you in the shower

and in your bed and

with soft steps to bring you coffee

(I take mine black)

Your strong arms, the legs

that power your thrust,

your lips of pleasure,

these are the fuel of my desire

no it is no secret, my love,

and to put it very simply,

I want you.

why i like these poems so much is because of this song

A letter to you on a cassette

'Cause we don't write anymore

Gotta make it up quickly

There's people asleep on the second floor

There's no aphrodisiac like loneliness

Truth, beauty and a picture of you

You'll be walking your dog in a few hours

I'll be asleep in my brother's house

You're a thousand miles away

With food between your teeth

Come up for summer I've got a place near the beach

There's room for your dog

There's no aphrodisiac like loneliness

Truth, beauty and a picture of you

There's no aphrodisiac like loneliness

Truth, beauty and a picture of you

There's no aphrodisiac like loneliness

Youth, truth, beauty, fame, boredom and a bottle of pills

There's no aphrodisiac like loneliness

You shouldn't leave me alone

There's no aphrodisiac like loneliness

Bare feet like a tom-boy and a crooked smile

Truth, youth, beauty, fame, boredom

Red hair, no hair, innocence

Saturday and a picture of you

A letter to you on a cassette

You shouldn't leave me alone

Forty shaved sexy wants to do it all day

With a gun-totin' trigger-happy tranny named Kinky Renee

Tired teacher twenty-eight seeks regular meetings

For masculine muscular nappy-clad brutal breeding

While his wife rough-wrestles with a puppy all aquiver

On a wine-soaked strobe-lit Asiatic hall of mirrors

And a dash of loneliness

There's no aphrodisiac quite like it

Truth, youth, beauty, fame, boredom

Red hair, no hair, innocence, impunity and a picture of you

I got a video set-up me, love you short time

She pay me suck his finger with some fine wine

And a dash of loneliness

Truth, youth, beauty, fame, boredom

Red hair, no hair, innocence, awkwardness

Impunity, and a picture of you

i like this :

The Sorrow Of Love

THE brawling of a sparrow in the eaves,
The brilliant moon and all the milky sky,
And all that famous harmony of leaves,
Had blotted out man's image and his cry.
A girl arose that had red mournful lips
And seemed the greatness of the world in tears,
Doomed like Odysseus and the labouring ships
And proud as Priam murdered with his peers;
Arose, and on the instant clamorous eaves,
A climbing moon upon an empty sky,
And all that lamentation of the leaves,
Could but compose man's image and his cry.
