Recommended Posts

I started writing again and although it's rough, I am so glad to be living in the world of words.

^^ Good luck jumper. Isn't it great to write?

I have been a temp for more than a year, and some days ago I was offered permanent employment. Jippi.

Sounds great, Blue !

I've changed my attitude at work, so it's kind of like having a new job.

I've been doing physical therapy and continue with the routine. I feel less worn down by the end of the day.

Working from home today, since I was feeling a bit under the weather. But I'm feeling better now.

One of our coworkers is leaving and today I threw a "party" for her. It all went well, and most important everybody liked the cake :)

The Fruit Cocktail Cake I made from scratch came out perfect just in time for Father's Day.  I made the cake for my dad because it's one of his favorite recipes!!

I get a raise! Exactly the sum I was asking for.

Congratulations!! You deserve it.

I've just been to dance class which was lots of fun. I'm going to be at a community event on Saturday, helping our instructor to promote and demonstrate the various dance and fitness classes available to people in our town. Not only that, but she's said that one of our routines will be to a U2 song! :D

Oh and I found 2 new stalls in the local market specialising in comic books and sci-fi/fantasy geekery. One of them has literally only just opened this week. I found 3 Star Wars graphic novels - and the owner ships StormPilot as much as I do.

Today I took part in 2 sets of dance routines up on a stage at Dawley and Malinslee Fun Day.

If you'd have told me even six months ago that I'd feel brave enough to get up and dance in public like that, I would have laughed or thought you were mad. But now here I am, part of a team and getting ready for another community event in 2 weeks time! It's amazing how much confidence you can gain from being around such an encouraging group of people.

The only downside was the rubbish weather which meant we only got to do 2 of our 4 planned routines. But that's just the British summer for you!
