Subscriber utwothefly Posted August 5, 2014 Author Subscriber Share Posted August 5, 2014 Which song did they mention? They didn't mention a song, just that all 4 would be releasing a Xmas single.

Subscriber theyallayallas Posted August 13, 2014 Subscriber Share Posted August 13, 2014 This can only end in tears ... though for U2 to go for Xmas No.1 they MUST be confident of getting it ... this could be an interesting few months

Thinking about it, I weirdly would like to see them on x factor perform live though.
Subscriber theyallayallas Posted August 17, 2014 Subscriber Share Posted August 17, 2014 I personally don't want to see U2 on X Factor though there isn't really any music shows in the UK that reaches out to most of the population. So in effect it is a must. I think the last time on the UK promo stuff they did a BBC special and maybe the Jonathan Ross show and that was it. I think they realise that they have to maybe work a bit harder at promoting the record this time around. I'm still a bit wary about GMTV touting U2 as a Xmas No.1 contender ... In order to get that spot; especially which is likely be their 2nd single off the new album it needs to be an out and out xmas song or be one of the best love songs ever. Bold bold move.
