Subscriber monica martino 150 Posted September 15, 2014 Subscriber Share Posted September 15, 2014 Well I think it's done on purpose: a young man (Bono) walking towards his future in the music world, inspired by Joe Ramone. Oh well just my 2 cents
Subscriber Shannon387 252 Posted September 15, 2014 Subscriber Share Posted September 15, 2014 I would imagine they would. I think they realize some fans are collectors and would release vinyl in limited quantities. Many artists do now which is great.

muddy grey wolf 0
If new singles are to be issued on digital format I for 1 will not be buying them when there are so many free to download sites online.
Subscriber richie459 14 Posted September 16, 2014 Subscriber Share Posted September 16, 2014 I used to love buying singles back in the day they were out way before the album and had 3-4 b sides. Now the album is usually out before the single and come with no worthwhile extra tracks.

It's kinda pointless, if you already know that you will buy the album, or in this case, the album is already out. Like Richie said, it used to be, and especially with U2, you knew you were going to get some awesome b-side songs. Now, it's just a single song.
