My ipod says I've listened to Fez Being Born 18 times. It doesn't seem like I've heard it that many times (love the song, btw).

That got me thinking - if I've heard Fez 18 times then how in the hell many times have I heard Pride or Bad or Streets????

What do you guys think? 2,000? 5,000? Holy crap 200 GAZILLION?????????????

Seriously though, how many times have you heard your favorite U2 tune? eek.gif

I'd have an accurate reading if I didn't have to get a new PC. But since then, on iTunes my top 5 listened to, U2 songs:

Gone - 22

Staring at the Sun - 21

Electrical Storm (Single Version - 17

No Line on the Horizon - 15

Breathe - 13

According to my Last.FM account:

1. U2 - Where the Streets Have No Name (565 times)

2. U2 - Bullet the Blue Sky (309 times)

3. U2 - With or Without You (241 times)

Of course, actual numbers are a lot bigger

play count in media player:

no line on the horizon - 181

magnificent - 168

i'll go crazy - 159

but i reinstall windows every few months, otherwise if i had an alltime play count songs like the fly, even better, out of control would have 3000+

I think this is a great question, though somewhat impractical. It would be to hard to determine how many times i've heard any one U2 song. A song likeSunday Bloddy Sunday or New years day i've probably heard thousands of times. I can give you one accurate number though.

From the release of Rattle and Hum in 1988 to the release of Achtung in late 1991 I listened to nothing but R&H. I would watch the video or listen to thecd daily multiple times (mostly the video cuz it had all those extra songs).

So it would be fair to say that I have seen Rattle and Hum beginning to end well over a thousand times.

Probably could say the same of Achtung baby.

The Rattle and Hum period was by far my most obssessed period. I did'nt even think other people made music for that three years.
