Subscriber paulheyworth50 0 Posted December 8, 2014 Subscriber Share Posted December 8, 2014 My wife bought me and my friend a ticket for U2 at Glasgow next year. I've since been informed by Ticketmaster that my wife will need to enter the venue and show I.D. The card holder must be present when entering the arena. Ticketmaster rightly informed me i should of checked the T&C's before my wife ordered. Nice one. $50 dollar subscription to get a chance of pre-sales Now 2 x GA tickets will be going in the bin. Thanks Ticketmaster. Bollocks!

Subscriber J.Robb 1 Posted December 8, 2014 Subscriber Share Posted December 8, 2014 As long as you haveyour wife's card you'll be fine, they swipe the card through a hand held reader that prints out a mini ticket / receipt & you'll be in. With thousands of people to "get in" to the venue they will not be checking id's as well.

Subscriber AlanScotland1 4 Posted December 8, 2014 Subscriber Share Posted December 8, 2014 I assume they don't enforce this ridiculous policy. What about all younger fans under 18 that have their parents buy them tickets.
Subscriber paulheyworth50 0 Posted December 8, 2014 Author Subscriber Share Posted December 8, 2014 My wife is currently speaking via email with Ticketmaster. So far it's our own fault for not abiding by the rules of purchase. Looks like we are knackered.
Subscriber Blunt Laser 0 Posted December 8, 2014 Subscriber Share Posted December 8, 2014 I phoned AXS who deal with the O2 shows and they said because my wife had the same surname as me (?!) i could take her card and use my ID. This seems perfectly logical. You have a while to sort it out, i'm sure there will be many in your boat. Ultimately its just to deter touts and shouldn't piss of the ticket buyer. I think its a ridiculous rule personally, especially since Ticketmaster have their own tout site Get Me In! Its ridiculous. Just keep asking, i'm sure it will work out.
