U2ForDave
I know people will be lining up before noon for first night. I believe the stadium will be giving instructions for GA. I have seats so im gonna be arriving around 2ish. Its possible GA holders may camp out as well.
Subscriber sqrlygrly Posted May 13, 2015 Subscriber Share Posted May 13, 2015 I have been to a few U2 concerts and usually people start lining up as early as 6 AM, for GA, and i have seen the line just grow from there. the stadium may or may not let you camp out. I am debating in how early i want to start lining up. I have a Tuesday night ticket, so we shall maybe see what happens on Monday. If anyone hears of any other details, I would LOVE to know. kelela
I lined up for I think 2 concerts in 360 and the rest of the GA ones I went to (3) I just arrived before doors and found my fave spot which was almost always the same as when I stood for hours. I'm sure for these first shows people will line up, but as they go along, you might see people who frequent more than a few shows hold back. Honestly, the BEST part of waiting is talking to fans. Met some amazing people standing in line AND in GA.
Subscriber tvham Posted May 14, 2015 Subscriber Share Posted May 14, 2015 I'm coming from SF, won't be off work until 5pm or so, no lining up for me. But I'm hoping that with this stage set up to still have a great view even if it means further back in GA.
Subscriber K5Jon Posted May 17, 2015 Subscriber Share Posted May 17, 2015 Someone, if possible, should scope out the venue in advance, some venues won't allow fans to line up on their actual property until the day of the show, so unofficial lines begin generally across the street. There is usually a list made up by someone (meaning a fan) who is towards the front of that line and they will take your name and give you a number on your hand and everyone works together to make it all run as smoothly as possible with everyone respecting one another. One the day of the concert, everyone then lines up on the venue property in the proper designated area based on that number. Its unofficial so you may have someone jump in front, etc but the majority of U2 fans are cool towards one another. Would not surprise me if fans are lined up now or will start in the morning. For Vancouver fans were in line four days before the show starting on Monday for the opening night Thursday show. On Thursday afternoon, people were lining up for Friday's show. Subscriber MariaLisa Posted May 17, 2015 Subscriber Share Posted May 17, 2015 Yes that's the policy. http://www.sapcenter.com/events/detail/u2-innocence-experience-tour-2015 I spoke to a Roberta at the venue who said they WILL NOT honor any unofficial lineups prior to 8am. Subscriber tingly Posted May 17, 2015 Subscriber Share Posted May 17, 2015 Yeah, someone can show up at 8am and sprint to the front of the line when it opens. It's usually an orderly walk across the street, though.
