Periscope (and other live feeds)

Recently, there has been a lot of commentary about people with cell phones. I have mixed feelings about this. Yes, it's important not to block someone else's view. Yes, you should live in the moment. BUT... I sure do appreciate those live feeds. All of that said, I'd like to make a few requests to the people who do the live feeds:

  • If you can, please turn off the "comments" feature. I know I can do that myself, but I've noticed that the feed connection seems to be much stronger (doesn't lose connection) when this feature is disabled by the person doing the feed.
  • Please hold the camera horizontally whenever appropriate.
  • Please don't point the camera at yourself 90% of the time  (there was one guy in Montreal who kept doing this).
  • Please make sure your finger isn't covering the microphone (I'm pretty sure this happened because the sound quality was so bad).

Thank you all who are providing a way for me to watch the shows I cannot attend in person! Truly, I do appreciate it! :D (I don't mean to sound whiny!)
