Subscriber jaimearodriguez Posted July 21, 2015 Subscriber Share Posted July 21, 2015 Saturday's show I was #2. Arrived at 11:00 am the day before. Got front row main stage. Sunday's show, I arrived 6:00 pm day of the show. Could have got third row main stage If wanted to. Conclusion: Lining up is not necessary. Subscriber NYCLeila Posted July 21, 2015 Subscriber Share Posted July 21, 2015 I got there at 4:30pm on Saturday and was on the railing at the e-stage....5:30pm on Sunday and was in the second row on the catwalk right by the e-stage. The line was much longer on Sunday. It was just too brutally hot outside and in my opinion not necessary to get there super early. It seemed to be more crowded by the main stage, but in general, when I got inside around 6:45/7, there was tons of room and it was easy to find a spot in the second row. Don't stress about it - I used to always go early in the morning but there is so much more room on the floor this tour. Good luck!
Subscriber danknapp Posted July 22, 2015 Subscriber Share Posted July 22, 2015 (edited) How about location tips? I'm only 5'6"... Also thinking I'd both like a good view of both stages AND the screen. Kind of thinking that the outside of the Redzone rail as far to the center of the catwalk would make sense. Am I right about that? Will be meeting my friend about 5:30 on Thursday because she has to come from work... Sounds like we still shouldn't have much trouble getting the spot of our choice... Also, any insight as to whether we'll be in good shape to get the limited edition MSG "shirt of the night"? Thanks in advance for any input or advice... After following the tour since May, hard to believe my show is just two nights away!!! Edited July 22, 2015 by danknapp

After following the tour since May, hard to believe my show is just two nights away!!! Hello Danknapp, Let me answer the t-shirt/poster question first. MSG opens the merchandise stand in their main 7th avenue entrance at 4:00 pm. If you want a limuted poster/t-shirt I recommend you arrive to MSG before you line up, and go into the 7th avenue entrance merch stand. (You can go inside without a ticket). That way you can do the GA experience without having to worry about that, because GA goers do always get limited merchandise or none at all. As far as the view, I'm 5'6 myself. I went with my two 5'7 cousins and my 5'5 brother in law. We were all tiny. For night 2, we decided where you said. Redzone rail (Adam's side had more space). It was an AWESOME decision. We not only got a bit of both stages, but we got the screen effects (which I completely missed night 1 and are a big part of the show) and the band plays a solid 4 songs in the middle anyway. Good luck.

Subscriber JitterbugBaby Posted July 22, 2015 Subscriber Share Posted July 22, 2015 FWIW, I got there around 11am both Saturday and Sunday (7.18 and 7.19), and I was on the rail one night and 1 back from the rail the other. Wow, I bow to your devotion to the band - we have been having some horribly hot and humid weather this weekend, so that can not have been fun! But I guess all was forgotten once the show started, right? :-) Was it just me, or did you find Sunday's show even better than Saturday's? I thought they were both terrific, but just even moreso on Sunday. You're pretty much right on all counts about the line. NOT fun to sit in the heat like that. But for me, being on the rail and close enough to see Edge and Bono reading and chuckling at my sign more than made up for it.
Subscriber JitterbugBaby Posted July 22, 2015 Subscriber Share Posted July 22, 2015 Also, any insight as to whether we'll be in good shape to get the limited edition MSG "shirt of the night"? On both Saturday and Sunday, there was a merchandise booth open inside the main MSG lobby (you can go in without getting your ticket scanned, you just have to let security look through your bag/scan you with a wand) by around 2pm.
