Subscriber Timk68 0 Posted November 15, 2015 Subscriber Share Posted November 15, 2015 I've managed to bag a bargain ticket for night 2 at Belfast so should be getting value, I'm not sure I'd be happy paying hundreds of pounds to see this show. I'm 47 so like many in here am comparing the U2 we see now to that of the U2 "back in the day", which lets face it when you're 21 / 22 yourself life is generally more vibrant / stress free etc etc. I still think U2 have their moments and for me it still makes it all worthwhile . Years ago I would of been at all the london shows plus Glasgow possibly one in Europe and Belfast but now this Thursday is my first show.

Very good indeed.lol Here's another wee programme broadcast last night (Mon), ahead of the bands Belfast shows. If the listener not from these shores can get through the background at the start - it was indeed an interesting time in Northern Ireland/ the island of Ireland. Some quite funny anecdotes within the interviews - positively, times have moved way forward. This recording was first aired in 2008 - ten years after the focal event of the programme in 1998 - which was 1 year after the bands last live performance in Belfast as U2 in terms of full production in 1997 when Popmart had landed. Worth a listen if you've a spare hour. 18 years since the band have last played here as a full production. It will be special and quite intimate in a fairly compact SSE Arena later tonight and Thursday night. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00bccjr Edited November 18, 2015 by yardie
