We have our GA's, can't wait!   This will a great thread for pre/post-show meet ups. Also we can share info on getting in line, etc.  On the last tour in Boston, we were able to get in line early, get a number on our hand, leave for most of the day, and then get back in line at 5 or so.  I hope this is how we do it in Arlington.

Hi.  I have GA too.   How early did you first show up in Boston and who gave you a number?

Thanks.

this wasn't the case last time in Arlington or the previous show in Dallas. We had numbers but people were NOT friendly about line leaving. There were 4 of us and we had to rotate eating and going to the restroom and returning stuff to the car (restrooms easy, they're all over every parking lot. Eating was more difficult). Good luck! It will be fun once you're inside.

I'm in the Wires group, so I'm antsy until tomorrow! I was GA in Arlington in 2009 and it was pretty much as you describe, although most around me were friendly. My personal preference is not to leave, but I suppose one could play it by ear with their neighbors. Of course, it's not the end of the world to spend an entire day with people who "speak U2"! :)

What time did you arrive and how long was the line. We'll be driving up from San Antonio and my wife is not very tall. Not sure whether to line up as early as possible to try and get as close to the rail as possible or just relax and show up and hang towards the back.

The stage is really high generally in the stadium, so even if she's on the rail it could be uncomfortable or hard to see. I'm pretty tall but I was just thinking about the kids I saw at the arena in Chicago next to the rail and they were having a hard time seeing with the shorter arena stage. That's a hard call. I can tell you I lined up at 10am for the past two Dallas shows and I was on the rail both times. Inner at vertigo, outer at 360.

I think though in Boston you have a seriously heavy U2 crowd and community that are organized. What we found in Arlington last time was that many of the people around us (I was in the low 100s) were NOT there for U2. They were there for Muse and couldn't have been less interested in conversing about U2 with us old people. They seemed frankly inconvenienced that U2 people were in line. Maybe I was just in the "wrong" section of line. Everyone was civil, they weren't rude, but Dallas just has a different vibe. I've done lines in Chicago, NYC, LA, Charlotte, Paris and Brussels and Dallas was the least chill by far.
