Sorry, no tickets from venue currently........ (MERGED)

Update, I did end up with 3 GA for a different city than I originally wanted after checking again after about an hour.  No Red Zone available at any venue.  For the first hour of the presale, I would either get "Unable to Process Your Request"  or "no tickets available" messages, or in some cases, offers of 300 and 500 level crap seats.

My frustration is that the fan presale that just does not work.  It hasn't worked well in past tours, but seems to be getting worse.  Ticketmaster sucks, which is a given that we all are apparently doomed to just accept in life.  But, U2.com shouldn't take our money for a "benefit" that apparently doesn't exist.  Just look how many good seats are already on the scalper websites.  The system is a con.

I love their music and I love their shows.  Have been to every tour, and bought every album since the first day I heard their music in 1982 or 1983.  I have been an on-and-off member of their fan club since the old Propaganda magazine days.  I understand that they are popular and that there is a high demand for tickets.  But, it bothers me that they don't take this into account and that they treat their loyal fans as commodities.  If presale doesn't work for a band like U2, then the ethical thing would be for them to not have one!

People are under the assumption that all the great tickets come out first. That isn't the case. They are released in waves, just because something isn't available right now doesn't mean it won't pop up in 15 minutes, or 30 minutes, etc. Just keep trying.

For the record though I will admit, as someone who has been a paid member for 25 years as of 2017 this pre-sale event felt rushed and it should have featured three pre-sale fan club groups as they had done before, not two groups. I enjoy the early ticket purchase bonus, and up until this one, had no problems securing excellent seats or Red Zone, being a longer member should (at least in my opinion) result in purchasing tickets earlier than most. But this time it seemed no different if you were a 20+ year club member or someone who signed up a few months ago, both of which were in the same presale group. Yesterday's event was a nightmare, and that blame falls on Ticketmaster's shoulders. They are company who all they do is offer tickets and yet they can't seem to get their act together after 30+ years of being in business, they still never seem to anticipate or be prepared for the high traffic volume and this was just the first day of a fan club presale. The general public online next week will probably be ten times worse. It's 2017, yet Ticketmaster can't seem to get things right after all this time and that is rather ridiculous.

Hopefully the band or their management can overhaul the early ticket purchasing process for next tour and go back to it being at least three different tier groups or reward those who have been loyal paid members the longest by offering up other perks. I still enjoy being a member, I have no interest in cancelling, as a lot of newer members seem to be saying, I enjoy the yearly gift, the forums and other fans, and everything else the site offers, I just feel it needs to be taken up a notch and overhauled a bit.

This is fraudulent, there was no "wires" pre-sale.  Anybody can buy with the pre-sale by paying $50 extra for a U2.com membership.  They lied, sold us a pre-sale that never happened, and it wasn't even possible to buy GA within seconds of the on-sale time.  They owe us our money back.

As a follow-up, I finally got GA tickets 2 1/2 hours into the presale, so all's well that ends well...but really, there's no reason I should have to be a bad employee for an entire morning to complete a transaction that should take a minute.  Further, this was not a pre-sale at all - anybody could buy tickets by paying an extra $50 at the same time as the ticket purchase - which means that non-fan-club members had an advantage: they only had to pay $50 if they found acceptable tickets.  The Wires group had ALREADY paid the $50 on a hope and a prayer, and got zero advance access for it.  Ultimately I have the tickets I wanted - but this process was not fair and needs to be corrected going forward.

I'm bitter too, but I blame ticketmaster as it took my code as invalid. When you sign up for the membership it does specifically state that tickets are not guaranteed. I am just keeping my fingers crossed that they announce more dates and we can use our codes then.

Remember the codes are case sensitive, so type it out exactly as it appears, the last digit is lower case so make sure if you are typing it out that you have it look exactly as it appears.

in Europe this morning initially a lot of people were having no luck, but kept trying and tickets came up eventually - advice is same for North America Wire group, you might not want to hear it be a little patience goes a long long way

I hope you are right!  good thing I am a stay at home mom and have all day to check ;) fingers crossed!

Yesterday was a nightmare but ONE of the issues was the option of having Ticketmaster search for tickets. That generally resulted in code issues or showing as nothing available. As soon as the ability came up where you could look at a map of the venue and see all the seats available so you could choose by section, that made it easier. Make sure you have Adobe Flash enabled as that seems to be a requirement on the Ticketmaster site when you are viewing the virtual stadium to see where tickets are available.

I accept that as the reality; however, it should be so damn hard to buy tickets on a FanClub presale. The best seats allocated for the pre-sales should be available from the beginning - why the hell are paying fan-club members having to play that game?.

This is total CRAP.  The only thing good that has happened in the US since the election has been the announcement of this tour.  My family is so excited and my boys are trying to learn U2 songs with their music teachers.  We do not spend much but we go out for U2.  This is a slap in the face to all of us that there is one show in Southern California and none in San Diego (AGAIN).  I used to get so offended when people would complain about getting the new Album for FREE and stick up for these guys because they were different.  It does not feel like that today.  This is total crap!  No floor, errors, stupid street sign and storefront verifications for nothing!!!  Thanks U2.  Thanks for making us all feel worse when you could have made it better.
